stvgray Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Somehow I never heard about the Red Wine iMod until just this week. I'm wondering if this is still considered a first-rate upgrade. If not, is there another iPod mod that's better? I use a 4G iPod, Apple Lossless files, RSA Hornet, Westone 4s and Sennheiser HD650s. And, as of this week, my Westone ES5s are on order. Should I get my iPod iModded?
CD44hi Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries.
morphsci Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 A moose once bit my sister. My Sister was that moose. I did not know either of you even had sisters.
stvgray Posted December 3, 2011 Author Report Posted December 3, 2011 Umm ... what did I do to deserve this? Anybody got a serious answer to my question?
rhythmdevils Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 If my preferred headphones weren't so insensitive to my feelings I'd plug them straight into my ipod classic.
justin Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 If my preferred headphones weren't so insensitive to my feelings I'd plug them straight into my ipod classic. whatever. i plug my JH16s into the hard drive.
The Expanding Man Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 whatever. i plug my JH16s into the hard drive. Try soldering them direct to your hard drive. You don't want no plug contaminating your signal.
The Monkey Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Umm ... what did I do to deserve this? Anybody got a serious answer to my question? I'll sell you my iMod.
guzziguy Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 You obviously haven't been to Montana!
Lunna Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 if you're serious, the answer is, it's great. if what you're looking for is an upgrade to your ipod, without more, i'd say go for it, though the mod is probably better for the 5.5g than the 4g. before everyone here goes ballistic, based on some serious discussions with some long-time head-casers with major cred agree with this. vinnie is a cool guy to boot, and all his gear sounds great (see the comments to the latest ny meet, for example).
mikeymad Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 I bought a sweet hoodie... I got tons of cred...
Lunna Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 monkey - yep, pm me and i'll name one, for example....
n_maher Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 monkey - yep, pm me and i'll name one, for example.... You're under the mistaken impression he actually cares.
The Monkey Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 Nate is correct. On the other hand, I do have an imod, think it sounds good, and will sell it to the OP.
Lunna Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 precisely. as you know, vinnie is a regular at the ny meets, is very generous, and overall, one very cool dude who does great work and actually gives a damn about his customers - both the high rollers and those who buy his cheaper stuff. for someone who isn't skilled at soldering and modding, a person could do a lot worse than getting an imod - used or new.
