Absorbine_Sr Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 Did a butterflied boneless pork chop (split in two for Debbie and I) on the Weber and Brussel Sprouts on the side burner in cast iron with a metric fuckton of butter and a little olive oil to keep things from burning. No pics as we were too busy eating. And it was delicious if I do say so myself.
swt61 Posted May 30, 2014 Report Posted May 30, 2014 Oh, Â and my next grilling obsession is this burger. Â Â http://pornburger.me/2014/04/02/so-kalbi-maybe-burger/ Â There was a restaurant in Anchorage in the 80's called Harry's. They had a burger called the BBGB (belly burnin' gut buster). It was awesome! It had a half pound chopped sirloin burger patty, a good quality hot dog, split open and grilled, and a fried egg on top. Mmmmm!
jvlgato Posted June 1, 2014 Report Posted June 1, 2014 Polish Sah-sage from the Polish Sah-sage place down the street, asparagus. 1
Voltron Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 You've got some asparagus at risk there, Dr. John, but it looks awesome. Â Pork loin and corn sounds great too. Â I wasn't hungry until looking at this thread.
Dusty Chalk Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 sausage and asparagus sounds good...I might be doing that in a little bit...
jvlgato Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 You've got some asparagus at risk there, Dr. John, but it looks awesome. Â Pork loin and corn sounds great too. Â I wasn't hungry until looking at this thread. You're right, one of them did slip through into the coals. Such an amateur. Bummer, because it was so good, I ate every last one, including the ones left on my daughter's plate, which she had turned her nose up to!
Voltron Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 Is that an Impala or a Springbok? Â Looks tasty.
Hopstretch Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 It (was) a sheep. And it was absolutely delicious.
guzziguy Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 Andrew, are you sure? It kind of looks like a warthog to me.
Augsburger Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 I want that BBQ grill/pit thingy. Â That looks awesome, with or without the sheep. Â More importantly, what did you drink with that BBQ? Â
Hopstretch Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 Andrew, are you sure? It kind of looks like a warthog to me.  Warthogs are super tasty. Ask any lion.
jvlgato Posted June 4, 2014 Report Posted June 4, 2014 I had warthog when I was in Zimbabwe. Really good!
Augsburger Posted June 4, 2014 Report Posted June 4, 2014 I am pretty sure I had warthog taco when I ate a taco served from a food truck in downtown LA Â a few years ago. Â Still had the warts on it too.
Edwood Posted June 6, 2014 Author Report Posted June 6, 2014 (edited) Wow, now THAT'S a BBQ pit / spit ! Â Edited June 6, 2014 by Edwood
agile_one Posted June 15, 2014 Report Posted June 15, 2014 Nice, Al. Â Just remember the proper ratio - one for the chicken, two for the chef.
ironbut Posted June 15, 2014 Report Posted June 15, 2014 Lookin good Al! Â That perforated pan looks killer! Where's you get that?
Voltron Posted June 15, 2014 Report Posted June 15, 2014 I think it was Williams Sonoma and it has removable "beer cans" to hold liquid and stand the birds up. Very handy.
