justin Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 (edited) http://www.kxan.com/...rices-announced ok, so these are season-ticket prices which probably means to be resold for large profits Edited April 27, 2012 by justin
mikeymad Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 Aye -- that makes since... From the site... http://circuitoftheamericas.com/tickets INDIVIDUAL TICKET PACKAGES FOR THE 2012 FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX NOV 16-18 WILL GO ON SALE EARLY THIS SUMMER.
Absorbine_Sr Posted April 27, 2012 Author Report Posted April 27, 2012 Yeah Justin, the price you mentioned were box and block ticket prices and went very high. Still waiting for the general grandstand and GA admission prices. And even if they are high mikey we can still watch it from Austin and drink.
swt61 Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 i've heard that $1875 is the cheapest ticket for this event Meh. I'm just going for the Head-Case camaraderie, and to pick up chicks.
shellylh Posted April 28, 2012 Report Posted April 28, 2012 (edited) I am just going to eat (and drink) at Fonda San Miguel. Edited April 28, 2012 by shellylh
guzziguy Posted April 28, 2012 Report Posted April 28, 2012 I'm coming for the BBQ and the chicks that Steve picks up.
Absorbine_Sr Posted May 11, 2012 Author Report Posted May 11, 2012 Those of you on the email list for Circuit of America, you should have a survey regarding seating and prices for the race.
mikeymad Posted May 24, 2012 Report Posted May 24, 2012 Yay! Monaco weekend... I tend to watch way too much coverage of this race...
Absorbine_Sr Posted May 24, 2012 Author Report Posted May 24, 2012 Yay! Monaco weekend... I tend to watch way too much coverage of this race... Yeah, we'll be up Sunday for Monaco, then a brief break and Indy. It's almost my favorite racing weekend of the year. Still have to factor Spa and Monza in there.
deepak Posted May 29, 2012 Report Posted May 29, 2012 Most exciting Monaco race I have seen in years. Poor decision on Vettel's engineering crew, but still a win for the team in the end
Absorbine_Sr Posted June 6, 2012 Author Report Posted June 6, 2012 Just purchased my tickets for the 3 day event. For those interested go here for the pre-sale and use password CIRCUIT. Marc, are accommodations still available? If not I need to go looking for hotels next.
mikeymad Posted June 6, 2012 Report Posted June 6, 2012 I got the email today as well.. I have not pulled the trigger yet. Where did you end up?

Absorbine_Sr Posted June 6, 2012 Author Report Posted June 6, 2012 I got the email today as well.. I have not pulled the trigger yet. Where did you end up? In an effort to preserve some semblance of a budget, we have two seats in the turn 11 grandstand. I would have preferred 12 but the price was too dear for us.

emelius Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 most of those tickets are at least 3 times the price of equivalent tickets for the Indy GP....my season tickets on the best turn were ~$120 each...& you could slap Friday & Saturday passes on there for a small charge... anyways...I'm bitter...just remember to wear something Eddie Jordan-like so I can spot you on tv:)...

Agreed. We sat in the Northwest Vista at Indy if memory serves me correctly and the prices were much less. I figured they'd do this, so I just hope it doesn't hurt attendance.
emelius Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 I would like to know the difference between grandstand seats in turn 12 for $520 & the “premium grandstand” seats in turn 15...bleachers clad in gold?...
The Monkey Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 Ok, I'm starting to seriously consider this. What do I need to do?
mikeymad Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 I just need to buy tickets to the race - find transportation - and a place to stay and I will be set. oh and the whisky to bring..
The Monkey Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 Be there? Do I have to go to the race? What if I want to sit in a bar and listen to music all day?
cetoole Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 What if I want to sit in a bar and listen to music all day? Then you will have plenty of company.
