Grahame Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 See this from time to time. workaround I use ispostsee "saving post" hangopen thread / previous post in new tab, note my new post has appeared in full at end of threadclose "saving post" tab I would be nice if it didn't happen, but it's not the end of the world
mikeymad Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 It seems to post (refresh shows it worked)... But just hangs on the page
deepak Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 I'm more concerned about when search will return TBH, which I've been using a lot recently.
tkam Posted July 31, 2011 Author Report Posted July 31, 2011 Three letters might be too short for the search to bother with it - I'll have to check on those settings.
deepak Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 Three letters might be too short for the search to bother with it - I'll have to check on those settings. I think it is broken completely (including in thread search) even with words longer than three letters
Duggeh Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 When right clicking on images to save them (slow forum), right clicking brings up the "full size picture display" thing, even when the picture isn't so big it needs to be shrunk down.
tkam Posted July 31, 2011 Author Report Posted July 31, 2011 Ok the search thing was my bad - I had to update the config file for the 3rd party search tool in use and forgot to restart the daemon for it
deepak Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 Ok the search thing was my bad - I had to update the config file for the 3rd party search tool in use and forgot to restart the daemon for it Thanks a lot Todd. In thread search is still broken, and was a huge benefit for finding info in the long DIY threads.
Dreadhead Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 (edited) Not sure if this has been covered or not but when in Firefox 5 I reply to a thread it just sticks at "saving post" and when I hit refresh the post has gone through. Any ideas? Edit: Scratch that, it worked perfectly this time...? Edited August 1, 2011 by Dreadhead
Voltron Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 Read above, Chris. Mentioned several times.
Torpedo Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 I've got this error message when replying to a post by Tyll. Bug or feature?
Dreadhead Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 Thanks Al. I figured it was a "Firefox" thing and searched for that. Then I realized that I should have searched for "saving post".
raffy Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 I'm having trouble using mobile theme. Whenever I switch to the mobile theme, it works fine but when I log on my laptop, it seems to still want to display the mobile theme so I have to switch back to normal. Seems like the forum remembers the last theme you used and then forces that on the next machine you use regardless if it's a mobile device or not. The old software didn't have this issue....any ideas folks?
Aura Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 (edited) I'm sort of having the opposite issue of what Raffy is experiencing - I cannot access the mobile view/theme on my phone at all. I click on the mobile link at the bottom of the page and it simply refreshes with the standard theme still in place. Logging out and back in, resetting cookies, cache, and history, etc. didn't correct this. Beyond that, the new look is pretty slick and I like it quite a bit. Edited August 1, 2011 by Aura
Voltron Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 Good catch - I checked with Tapatalk - it's a known issue and they are working on it. No ETA yet but knowing them it'll probably only be a few days. In the mean time the regular mobile version of the site works pretty well. Duggeh^
Aura Posted August 2, 2011 Report Posted August 2, 2011 So I'm not exactly sure what was going on but mobile is now running normal on my iPhone. I'm guessing either my phone or I was being stupid.
tkam Posted August 2, 2011 Author Report Posted August 2, 2011 Photo galleries should be working now, finally - I believe most user levels outside of guests and basic registered users should have the ability to create their own albums. If not let me know.
cetoole Posted August 2, 2011 Report Posted August 2, 2011 Raffy, I actually had that on the last version of the software.
tkam Posted August 4, 2011 Author Report Posted August 4, 2011 Good news the saving post issue should be fixed in the 3.2.1 release which I imagine is coming out fairly soon.
Kerry Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 Very nice upgrade. Thank you I also wanted to echo Deepak's concern on the Search within a topic. It simply shows the Topic header as the only result, but not the posts.
Pars Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 Todd, I deleted some message notifications, but it appeared to also delete the message thread as well. I don't see them in my inbox now, but when I try to access the threads via previous notifications, I get this error: [#10229] We could not determine which message you were attempting to view.
