CarlSeibert Posted July 30, 2011 Report Posted July 30, 2011 Faster= good. I like the view content options. For some reason, Opera's spell check doesn't want to work anymore?
The Monkey Posted July 30, 2011 Report Posted July 30, 2011 I'm also having the saving post issue...intermittently,
Duggeh Posted July 30, 2011 Report Posted July 30, 2011 "[TICK] Like This" doesn't work. Is that deliberate?
Pars Posted July 30, 2011 Report Posted July 30, 2011 I like this better already, though I haven't tried much beyond New Posts, etc. Great job on the upgrade Todd, and thanks!
digger945 Posted July 30, 2011 Report Posted July 30, 2011 I love it. Am I missing some toggle or checkbox to show if members are online or offline? I see that hovering over the members name shows a popup with info containing online status. I tried things on IE, but Chrome is my daily driver.
Torpedo Posted July 30, 2011 Report Posted July 30, 2011 I think the members' birthday list is missing.
tkam Posted July 30, 2011 Author Report Posted July 30, 2011 I think the members' birthday list is missing. I think you might be right. I get the save bug 2 of 3 times I post. I still haven't seen it happen once yet - I'm using Firefox 5.
Duggeh Posted July 30, 2011 Report Posted July 30, 2011 I'm using Firefox 5 and its happened a few times.
guzziguy Posted July 30, 2011 Report Posted July 30, 2011 I've been using Firefox 5.0.1 and still see it occasionally. Now that I know to ignore it, it's not a big deal.
CarlSeibert Posted July 30, 2011 Report Posted July 30, 2011 Opera runs the board quicker but Safari's spellcheck still works. What's the "Like This" button supposed to do, exactly?
tkam Posted July 31, 2011 Author Report Posted July 31, 2011 The birthdays not showing is a confirmed bug it's fixed in the upcoming 3.2.1 release.
Torpedo Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 Ha, I've been lucky you updated the software right after mine and laxx's
Salt Peanuts Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 (edited) I've been getting the save bug every time on Safari 5.1. EDIT - Of course, I don't get the save bug for this post. Edited July 31, 2011 by Salt Peanuts
Duggeh Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 Can we have a grace period for editing posts which means it doesn't always show "edited by"? 60 seconds would do it.
Torpedo Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 I've found another bug. When receiving a PM which is part of a long thread, if you go to read it from the button on the top of the page, not from the own notification link, it takes you to the first page of the PM thread, not to the last unread message, which is what the previous version did. And what makes more sense IMO.
tkam Posted July 31, 2011 Author Report Posted July 31, 2011 I really wish I could see what the saving post bug looks like - can someone take a screenshot and send it to me next time it happens to them.
Salt Peanuts Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 Is the search working for anyone? I get no return regardless of what I search. I apologize if this was already mentioned.
Torpedo Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 I really wish I could see what the saving post bug looks like - can someone take a screenshot and send it to me next time it happens to them. This is it After posting the thing stays on that sending status until you decide to go elsewhere. Then you see the message got posted.
tkam Posted July 31, 2011 Author Report Posted July 31, 2011 Interesting - ok here's a question for those of you seeing this does it only happen on the larger threads with many thousands of replies?
Torpedo Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 Happened right away on page 169 of what did you do today, as you can confirm:
mikeymad Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 I was getting it in the drinking thread.. where I am most of the time for some reason. -- using Chrome
shellylh Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 I usually post in long threads I guess. I would guess that the "saving post" bug probably happens around 80% of the time for me but that is a very rough estimate. I didn't happen when I posted here or just now in the Macce Thread. I think there was another time it didn't happen.
