Dreadhead Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 (edited) Is anyone else around here watching the tour? I'm very excited to see how today's stage turns out. It is an absolute epic... I'm currently working up the self control to turn off the live reports so that I can watch it without knowing what happens this evening but I doubt I'll be successful.... Pars Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 Yes, I've been watching it some (not much this week though). The TV car taking out the two riders was pretty intense, especially the one that flipped into the barbed wire fence (fucking OUCH)! http://forums.serotta.com/showthread.php?t=93228&highlight=barbed Quote
Voltron Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 I have been watching although I missed a couple of stages last week and then caught up from the DVR. Today is going to be intense so turn off the live reports and watch it tonight! Yell for Cadel! Or a Schleck or anyone else other than Cuntador. Quote
CD44hi Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 Have the touch total access app, so far has worked great. Unbelievable climbing today. Quote
aardvark baguette Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 What is that, something on the travel channel? Quote
Dreadhead Posted July 21, 2011 Author Report Posted July 21, 2011 Didn't last but I won't ruin it for you guys.... epic Quote
CD44hi Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 i can't wait to watch it again tonight, epic indeed. Quote
guzziguy Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 I've been watching on and off. Bicycle racing is actually interesting to watch on TV, where leaders can be followed and all attacks are shown. I watched a leg of the TDF when I lived in France. It was pretty boring to watch a bunch of guys go by and then nothing. Yes, I've been watching it some (not much this week though). The TV car taking out the two riders was pretty intense, especially the one that flipped into the barbed wire fence (fucking OUCH)! http://forums.serott...ighlight=barbed I agree with what a sportswriter (can't remember which) wrote. He said that American sports would be a lot more interesting if they had cars and motorcycles on the field while the game was played. Quote

Augsburger Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 (edited) Epic indeed. Now that we have HD Fios the difference from prior years watching is startling. Oh the colors........ Yeah! Schleck is da man. Contador is Voeckler's bitch-- ha ha. ya punk. Edited July 22, 2011 by Augsburger Quote
Pars Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 That was a good one! Hoping the Schleck bros kick some arse. Andy came close to grabbing yellow today. Quote
ironbut Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 "Cuntador"! That's a good one Al! I missed lots of stages last week,.. I guess I'm just distracted this year. Today should be epic (cause yesterday sure was)! Cadel has that "unstoppable machine" cadence going. Will Andy break today? The climb today could be for all the marbles! Quote
Torpedo Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 Poor Contador, he's a good guy, really. You just hate him for not kneeing in front of Armstrong Quote
Dreadhead Posted July 22, 2011 Author Report Posted July 22, 2011 Poor Contador, he's a good guy, really. You just hate him for not kneeing in front of Armstrong I'm in the same boat. I really gained a lot of respect for him how he acted at the Giro this year. I might have been a different tour without those falls earlier but that's how it goes.... I'm hoping Evans gets it in the end. Cuddles deserves one Quote
Augsburger Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 Well I have to admit I liked how Contador popped that annoying spectator. Cheering for your rider is one thing but running along next to a rider suffering up L'Alpe d'Huez and heckling him is another matter. Quote
Torpedo Posted July 24, 2011 Report Posted July 24, 2011 Not sure if you've already watched it. I did live almost 10 hours ago. So I'll refrain any comments. Quote
Dreadhead Posted July 24, 2011 Author Report Posted July 24, 2011 I watched it live. Just so happy for him. Quote
aerius Posted July 24, 2011 Report Posted July 24, 2011 Cuddles FTMFW Proving once again, that mountain bikers rule. Quote
peanuthead Posted July 24, 2011 Report Posted July 24, 2011 Very happy for him. A true champion. Quote
