dsowner Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Hi, community! I'm pretty new to this scene, and an even newer member of this site. I've bought my Denon AHD2000 and I love it. But someone told me to get an amp/DAC, so that it would sound even more amazing. So I have a few questions: 1) Will it make a remarkable difference? Enough for a even newbie like me can recognize? AKA Is it worth it? 2) Is the Audinst MX1 a good amp/DAC for my headphones? 3) If not, what substitute is out there within that price range? Edit:: Seems like I came to the wrong place. I kinda feel like a freshman accidentally entering a senior class. I'll head over to that OTHER headphone site. Hopefully I can be as professional as you guys one day so I can get back here. PS if mods can delete this thread please do so. If you wanna save for the lolz it's fine too.
Nebby Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 http://www.head-fi.org is the answer for all your questions.

Tyll Hertsens Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Somebody post who has the "welcome" link. Lurk, dude.
aardvark baguette Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Didn't it take longer to register here than it would have to search google for answers to these basic questions?
swt61 Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Somebody post who has the "welcome" link. Lurk, dude. I think the welcome PM is automatic again, IIRC.
Fitz Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 I think the welcome PM is automatic again, IIRC. Reading it, however, regularly proves to be too difficult of a task.
