Having too many phones can push one or more aside. When gear or mood or lifestyle changes allows it to reenter, it can be great to rediscover. What have you rediscovered lately?

Wanted to give the CD3000s a listen before selling. Been a year and rarely a listen a year before that. Currently listening to Anouar Brahem with a Pico DAC + Slim. Damn, they're pretty nice.

It's nowhere near audiophile quality, but I sold my HD201 to a friend a couple years back. Last night we were hanging out in his room and I spotted the old 201s lounging about on his couch. Pulled out my phone and decided to give them a try again. Granted, they're not gonna beat what I have now anytime soon, but for $20 I forgot how good those stupid things could sound. Almost makes me want to sell all my stuff and go back to the blissful days of budget-fi... almost...

I don't even really have a rig anymore, and haven't for a long time, though I guess have more of one after buying the Parasound. Laptop speakers or whatever earbuds I have lying around straight out of my laptop are good enough for me, and most importantly convenient.

I seem to have this kind of experience at least once every other week. I'm forever rediscovering what I like and/or don't like about all sorts of headphones. Most recently the PS-1 and SA5000. It would be hard to find two headphones that are any more different from each other than these two, but both can be fantastic in their own ways depending on one's mood and the music being played.
