emelius Posted May 8, 2012 Report Posted May 8, 2012 I'm growing tired of the kid aspect...not as much as the kid in The Walking Dead, but enough that it's starting to put me off... Quote
Voltron Posted May 8, 2012 Report Posted May 8, 2012 Agree with you Jeff, but I also agree with Steve because the overall plotlines are not purely same-old same-old. Quote
swt61 Posted June 5, 2012 Author Report Posted June 5, 2012 It's getting juicy now. Still wondering if my last season prediction will be correct. Quote
Pars Posted June 5, 2012 Report Posted June 5, 2012 (edited) ^ Could be Steve... though her pressuring her father into the federal warrant wouldn't be a good move on her part My guess is the other campaign aid to Richardson (can't remember his name) EDIT: believe it is Jamie? swt61 Posted June 18, 2012 Author Report Posted June 18, 2012 The second part definitely threw me. I really like the character development of this series. But it doesn't seem like there will be another season. Quote
Pars Posted July 31, 2012 Report Posted July 31, 2012 ^ Confirmed that AMC is killing The Killing, though I know in an interview that Joel Kinnaman (Holder) had stated that he would pay to make Season 3 himself... But we have Walking Dead oh joy Quote
crappyjones123 Posted August 8, 2012 Report Posted August 8, 2012 That's unfortunate. I really enjoyed it. Quote
Pars Posted November 9, 2012 Report Posted November 9, 2012 Might be coming back? http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/11/08/the-killing-netflix/ Quote
jpelg Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 AMC is re-running "The Killing" on Sunday mornings, beginning yesterday (sorry), starting with Season 1. Hopefully they will include Season 2 as well. Quote
Pars Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 Man, networks are becoming lame with regards to story/series creation. http://xfinity.comcast.net/blogs/tv/2013/01/14/hbos-woody-harrelson-matthew-mcconaughey-drama-casts-michelle-monaghan/ Sounds more or less like "The Killing", at least to me? Quote
cutestory Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 "How do you kill that...which has no life?" I guess I should watch this show, since it's coming back for reals. Quote
cutestory Posted May 15, 2013 Report Posted May 15, 2013 I need to watch this shit from the beginning, right? Quote
Voltron Posted May 15, 2013 Report Posted May 15, 2013 Nope. New case starts with this season. I'd go back and watch the other two but not needed for the opener. Quote
swt61 Posted May 15, 2013 Author Report Posted May 15, 2013 The preview for this season looks good! Quote
jpelg Posted May 15, 2013 Report Posted May 15, 2013 Reruns of Season 2 are just finishing up. I love this show. I love how it is shot - every week I feel totally immersed in dark, cold, wet Seattle. On pins & needles waiting to see how the Rosie Larson murder case ends. Quote
jpelg Posted May 29, 2013 Report Posted May 29, 2013 Season 2 reruns finished this past weekend & the Rosie Larsen case has been solved. Whew! Season 3 premieres June 2nd with a 2-hr opener. Quote
Pars Posted June 3, 2013 Report Posted June 3, 2013 Did any of you watch this, or were you mesmerized by GOT? I enjoyed it, though I really like the series, and wasn't one of those pissed off when the Rosie Larson case wasn't solved in the 1st season. Quote
ironbut Posted June 3, 2013 Report Posted June 3, 2013 Yup,.. That season opener did not disappoint! Quote
morphsci Posted June 3, 2013 Report Posted June 3, 2013 Excellent season opener. Looking forward to the new case. I knew what was coming in GOT so not that mesmerized. Quote
shipsupt Posted June 3, 2013 Report Posted June 3, 2013 The wife and I just started season 1 and we are digging it. No Rosie Larsen spoilers! Quote
jpelg Posted June 4, 2013 Report Posted June 4, 2013 Great season 3 opener! I thought it was hilarious that both Holder & Linden both tell each other that they've quit smoking, as if to show they've moved on from their partnership after not seeing each other for months. The new case is related to a side story mentioned in season 2, but you needn't have watched the Larsen case to jump into this one. Did anyone catch the irony of Holder's girlfriend & the tattoo on his chest?. Quote
postjack Posted June 4, 2013 Report Posted June 4, 2013 Quick question I'd like a season 2 spoiler-free answer for: I watched and enjoyed season 1, but even being able to watch them back to back I felt like the show moved too slowly. They spent way too much time showing the grieving Larsens, lots and lots of scenes showing how sad they were. Not trying to be insensitive to the loss the characters incurred, but those scenes really dragged on. I found Linden interesting and Holder especially interesting. Wondering generally how season 2 stacks up to season 1? better or worse in your opinion? how is the pacing? Quote
