Fing Posted May 23, 2011 Report Posted May 23, 2011 Kerry, can I reduce my order to 2 assembled instead of 4 assembled? Sorry, but money is getting too tight to mention (
Beefy Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 Payment sent! Sorry for the delay, but I've been busy with conferences, holidays, and poor internet access......
Kerry Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 Just wanted to give everyone an update. The boards were sent and confirmed on Monday to Imagineering. We will be getting a first article of 5 boards (one panel) in about two weeks. I'll build a board to make sure everything is good and then go ahead with the rest of the boards (two weeks from when we confirm the boards). I'm doing 150 to have a few extra. Once that is complete and they've shipped the boards that will not be assembled, I can start getting them sent out to everyone. Next step for the assembled boards will be to send the board I hand assembled to Imagineering and have them do one board. We'll get it back and test it, then run the rest of the assembly order.
johnwmclean Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 (edited) I regret missing this GB, if an opportunity should arise and 2 bare boards become available please consider me as a reserve. Kerry you do amazing work for the forum! Edited June 8, 2011 by johnwmclean
Kerry Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 I do have some extra boards and can still do some additional assembled boards as well.
johnwmclean Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 Your a gentlemen! Payment for 2 Bare boards and shipping has been sent.
johnwmclean Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 (edited) Delete, double post, sorry! Edited June 8, 2011 by johnwmclean
Kerry Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 Great News!!! We got the first board in. I'm waiting on parts, which will arrive this week, and will build this before they run the rest of the order. Here's some pics: Can't wait to test this
luvdunhill Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 Nice! What are you writing software for to test with?
ujamerstand Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 Looking good! If you need a platform to test the software, get a arduino uno, they are super cheap.
deepak Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 Looks great! Thanks again for the under taking Kerry
Kerry Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 I've got an Arduino Uno board and Kevin has the all-in-one display that he's posted here. I was also looking at the Netduino as another possibility (I can program it with .NET).
Kerry Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 (edited) Got parts EDIT: I'm going to build the board now so we can start testing. Edited June 25, 2011 by Kerry
ujamerstand Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 There's more than 560 relays in that pink bag, isn't there?
Kerry Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 The white box on top are the relays - 584 of them The pink bag contains the sockets for the PCF8574s. Once I test the board, it all goes off to manufacturing
Kerry Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 I was able to build the board and it's ready for testing Here's some pics...
Beefy Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 Sweet! Looking forward to a functional outcome.
MASantos Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Looks great! What resistors did you end up choosing??
