Salt Peanuts
But it really is a PITA to get this thing to play perfectly nice with the Verizon FiOS router. How so? Is it as simple as putting it in a bridge mode like the previous models?
The Monkey
Yeah, that part is dead simple, but I don't like bridge mode, mainly because I don't like the damn Actiontec. But I also don't want to go through putting the AEBS in front of the Actiontec. But I guess it's working for plenty of other people, so it should be good enough for chumps like me.Anyone know any MAJOR downsides to bridge mode? One thing that confuses me is how DNS servers are handled.
grawk
you lose the ability to reference other systems on your network with .local
HeadphoneAddict
Comcast home service, at home. Slightly faster now, a year later.
Dusty Chalk
I'm tempted to get faster -- I've been working from home a lot, and I do a lot of virtual machining -- It's been mostly ssh for now, but it'll soon be full images and whatnot, downloading disk images, etc.

Grand Enigma
Was paying $80 for 30mb... Decided I didn't need it so dropped to 15mb... A year later I am getting this (reading over wifi from phone)
Dusty Chalk
So I should get it and discontinue it?
Grand Enigma
So I should get it and discontinue it? Also worked for my cable TV that I had for free for 2years in our first apartment. Either lazy or not cost-effective to send out tech to swap out or remove filters
MexicanDragon
I need to jack into my gigabit to see what I'm getting hardwired. **BRENT**

grawk
I pay for 6/1.5 from comcast business. Still pricey, but no caps, none of their consumer bullshit.

Grahame
I really like FiOS... Who are the other 4% in IS, and what speeds are they getting? ...
spritzer
200mb's+ I can get those plans too but this one is about 50$ a month for 200GB of foreign download so why spend more.
Dusty Chalk
Yeah, well, Comcast want $250 connection fee for checking the health status of my connection so I think I will stick with 'Blast!'.Sent from mah phone-blet via Tapatalk
Augsburger
Using Chrome Using IE 11.0 I am leaning towards always using IE 11.0 for the 1 MS ping advantage, I just wish the download results went to four decimal places to determine if the IE 11.0 download speed advantage of .05 Mb/s is significant enough over Chrome.
