digger945 Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Very cool, and super fast on the iphone. On the messages, go to your user name at the upper right, pull down menu, click "messenger" and then when you refresh it will show all messages(for me anyway).
Craig Sawyers Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Hmm, there weren't any errors when migrating over PM's. Btw e-mailing functions aren't working right now. All understood and sorted now - I was just being a hardware geek, and not finding the right place to look. All PM history present and correct.
aardvark baguette Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Did you try the view new content link on the right? You also could be right that the import reset all that data. Ahh, I see it. Thanks!
CD44hi Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 The mobile version looks great on the iPod touch.
kevin gilmore Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 so i did not have the floating number, then went into messenger, then all of a sudden the floating number appeared... not sure what happened. likely the increased speed is due to the export of the database into a new database which removes all fragmentation. An export and a re-import every 6 months might be a good idea.
Craig Sawyers Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 In short, wahoo! Smileys work. Is there a smiley pop-up window linked anywhere? I can never remember all the smiley's I use off-hand.
en480c4 Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Also agree that the mobile site is amazing. Great job Todd!
nattonrice Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Everything is so fast! I'm in love with the mobile version. Fantastic change
bhjazz Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 (edited) Looks great. I'll hit up the mobile site with my Droid later this evening. At dinner. I'll probably get a salad fork thrown at me, but it's a job I must take on. And yeah, it is fast. Me like. Edited January 16, 2011 by bhjazz
manaox2 Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 I keep getting an error when I try to edit my profile and signature: [#1026] You are not permitted to modify all or some of your profile information. Wondering if reputation is based on post count.
tkam Posted January 16, 2011 Author Report Posted January 16, 2011 no its probably a permission thing i'll look into it
en480c4 Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Just came back to post the same thing... Trying to fix my avatar.
emelius Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 having trouble finding a bookmarkable list of all my subscribed threads with the ones with new posts highlighted...used to be under settings/user cp....not seeing anything comparable...
emelius Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 (edited) ^^otherwise, very nice...thanks... Edited January 16, 2011 by emelius
tkam Posted January 16, 2011 Author Report Posted January 16, 2011 tapatalk should be working now, e-mail notifications are next on my list.
Dusty Chalk Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Replies seem to take inordinately long.so i did not have the floating number, then went into messenger, then all of a sudden the floating number appeared... not sure what happened. Not sure what you are talking about -- what do you need floating point arithmetic for, isn't integer arithmetic good enough around here? :\ J/K...
tkam Posted January 16, 2011 Author Report Posted January 16, 2011 ok e-mail notifications should be working again now.
Asr Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 I get this error when trying to modify my profile: "[#1026] You are not permitted to modify all or some of your profile information." Will this be fixed soon? Like the new software, looks cool. How come Head-Fi couldn't use IPBoard instead of that terrible Huddler?
tkam Posted January 16, 2011 Author Report Posted January 16, 2011 that profile issue i'm gonna look into tomorrow.
K3cT Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Yeah, I can confirm that Asr's issue is not an isolated case. I can't edit my profile either.
Edwood Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 For a second, I thought Head-Case had gone Huddler.
Sherwood Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 The mobile site looks terrific. If my blowjob smiley didn't make it over, I'm sure a replacement can be drummed up.
jgazal Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Hmm, there weren't any errors when migrating over PM's. Btw e-mailing functions aren't working right now. In fact, it seems that some private messages were recovered. Besides some difficulties to identify the watched content (mainly "watched topics" or prior "subscribed threads"), everything seems better. Thank you. p.s.: is there a way to download/archive a txt from all the messages in "my conversations" folder?
en480c4 Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Is there any way to maintain the previous "New Post" functionality? Before it would post the most recent unread, going back 100 or so posts. Now it will only post since my last visit, which makes keeping up with things more difficult. If I don't get a chance to read everything, I won't see unread items from a previous visit.
