Aura Posted February 12, 2018 Report Posted February 12, 2018 time to upgrade the padding, colin sir. go get some of those biscuits and gravy as part of your recovery plan. 1
TMoney Posted February 12, 2018 Report Posted February 12, 2018 Here is to a quick recovery, Colin! In the meantime, I’m on my way to purchase a term life insurance policy on you. 2
jpelg Posted February 12, 2018 Report Posted February 12, 2018 Spiral fractures from slipping on ice last week - one near bottom of tibia, the other at top of fibula: Now have a plate & screws inside anchoring everything for healing. I have a feeling my leg looks a little like Colin's underneath the cast, just not as "pretty" 1 12
Dusty Chalk Posted February 12, 2018 Report Posted February 12, 2018 I’m at the doctor, too, checking if foot is borked. And yes, it’s the left foot, too. 4
jpelg Posted February 12, 2018 Report Posted February 12, 2018 ^Sorry to hear Dusty. Hope all turns out ok.
robm321 Posted February 12, 2018 Report Posted February 12, 2018 Ouch! Here's to a fast recovery. Is it break your left foot day already? Where does the time go. 1
skullguise Posted February 12, 2018 Report Posted February 12, 2018 Man, wishing good healing to all injured H-C'ers! 1
Grahame Posted February 12, 2018 Report Posted February 12, 2018 Brent has perfected Biscuit MIRV technology it would seem.

Shin pads probably would have let me walk away relatively unscathed, and would be relatively unencumbering to wear. That said, it isn't really a spot that is overly prone to taking hits, so maybe just when I'm planning sketchier stuff. 12 minutes ago, jpelg said: Spiral fractures from slipping on ice last week - one near bottom of tibia, the other at top of fibula: Now have a plate & screws inside anchoring everything for healing. Heal quickly. 9 minutes ago, Dusty Chalk said: I’m at the doctor, too, checking if foot is borked. And yes, it’s the left foot, too. Curses, something seems to be afoot! 1 1

CD44hi Posted February 12, 2018 Report Posted February 12, 2018 Friday was national pizza day not biscuit day Brent, damn you really went overboard on this one! I had a fender bender on Friday, so the biscuit force is strong, no injuries, just annoying. Will probably have to change front bumper and side panel.Heal well all injured, very sorry to hear.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro 1 1
Pars Posted February 13, 2018 Report Posted February 13, 2018 Sorry to all injured HCers, and glad you didn't get injured in the fender bender CD44hi! I guess I am at home for a week or so following a strange week and sucky weekend in the hospital. It started out with me noticing double vision when looking left. Woke up on Saturday with double vision everywhere. Went to urgent care, who ran a CT scan which showed nothing. Then to the hospital where I spent Saturday and most of Sunday. Full head MRI there, again, clean. Diagnosed as 3rd cranial nerve palsy by neurologist, confirmed by ophthalmologist today. Should take care of itself in a couple of weeks, maybe less. I guess at my age, what they find in the scans, etc. could always be bad, so counting my blessings there. Heal up HC! 9 1 1
Dusty Chalk Posted February 13, 2018 Report Posted February 13, 2018 She doesn’t think it’s broken, probably just bruised. I’m to come back if it stops getting better. 7
Voltron Posted February 13, 2018 Report Posted February 13, 2018 Heal well Colin & Jimmy. On balance, Chris, I gotta agree that that is good news. Hope it clears quickly. Also good Dusty news, Dusty. 4
Dreadhead Posted February 13, 2018 Report Posted February 13, 2018 Heal up HCers! As always, I wish doom and unmitigated failure to he who eats biscuits (aka Fat Che). 2 3
Dusty Chalk Posted February 13, 2018 Report Posted February 13, 2018 Sympathy and well wishes to the lot of you! 52 minutes ago, Pars said: ...when looking left... There it is again.
MexicanDragon Posted February 13, 2018 Report Posted February 13, 2018 If it makes anyone feel better, I skated into a parked car (mine) 10 days ago and dropped a few hundred on a splint and peace of mind (no break on the x-rays of my thumb)Just after crashJust after docJust after I told JeffSent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk 3 3 2
VPI Posted February 13, 2018 Report Posted February 13, 2018 Everyone will feel much better when I find the security footage of you skating into the side of your car. I wish Colin would carry thorn bushes around to throw at you when you crash out. 4 2

I hope you heal well and fast! 3
n_maher Posted February 13, 2018 Report Posted February 13, 2018 Ouch, HC, as others have said heal well and swiftly.
