TMoney Posted June 19, 2017 Report Posted June 19, 2017 Celebrated Father's Day with my parents in the blazing inferno. The car said 114 and may have been more accurate. I can see Stretch getting in a whole heap of trouble up here on a regular basis real soon. 6
Augsburger Posted June 19, 2017 Report Posted June 19, 2017 (edited) Enjoyed watching the US team clean up at the Pan Am fencing Championships. Lot's of familiar faces, great job team USA! Starting two weeks of pre-nationals training camp then off to the land of the Mormons for the Supreme National Battle Royal. EdipisReks1 Posted June 20, 2017 Report Posted June 20, 2017 (edited) It was last night, but I think I had an episode of sleep paralysis. I now understand why people think they were abducted by aliens, as I was fairly convinced I had moved to a different parallel universe (it didn't help that somebody was complaining that I wasn't responding to messages that I never received, on Facebook). Very weird. Surreal. Edited June 20, 2017 by EdipisReks1
Kerry Posted June 20, 2017 Report Posted June 20, 2017 My daughter has this several times a year. It's scary for her even though she knows what's happening now. 1
Augsburger Posted June 21, 2017 Report Posted June 21, 2017 Picked up at the all day fencing camp located in Woodland Hills otherwise know as Little Hades.
Pars Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 Met John (jvlgato) for lunch today, down by the VA. Great as always to see him, and had a nice chat (and lunch)! We'll have to do it again! 6
Voltron Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 Fuuuuuck that. Not coming. That's down in the desert where Greg lives. It hasn't broken 102 degrees F up here this week! 1
Augsburger Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 Wow Stretch, better bring a jacket. Brrrr!
EdipisReks1 Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 I set up a phone interview for a job I badly want, for next Wednesday. University IT director position, 5 minute commute, excellent pay and benefits. and for once it's a job where people on my reference list are known quantities, and respected ones. I applied Tuesday, so it seems that they are moving fairly quickly. 8
Torpedo Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 Good luck, Jacob. It's sounding great to these ears
EdipisReks1 Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 Thanks, Antonio! I'm going to even have answers to common questions prepared, that's how much I want it.
Aimless1 Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 Great opportunity Jacob. Be serious yet charming 1

guzziguy Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 Good luck, Jacob! Breaking bones is easy. Just ride 2-wheeled vehicles. On the plus side, my rib(s) are healing well. 2
EdipisReks1 Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 Thanks! And be careful on your bike, Ken.

Best wishes, Jacob -- I would wish you luck, but you don't need it, you just need to find an interviewer who is good enough to realize what an excellent worker you'd be. 1
