Grahame Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 Managed to recover from this ... updated. installed, then stuck at initial screen with no keyboard or mouse, after every reboot .... for some considerable time ... eventually managed to get it to "restoring previous version of Windows" .... ugh. Craig Sawyers Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 No way am I going to trust my machines to this POS. W7pro64bit is just fine thank you. There are all sorts of horror stories about corrupted hard drives, unrecoverable situations and dead machines out there. To kill off W10's pop up insisting I upgrade (which was installed against consent almost as a virus) I used this https://www.grc.com/never10.htm Quote

Grahame Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 Replaced the tempered glass screen protector on Joanne's phone, as the previous had sacrificed itself, so that her phone might live, unscathed. Thank you for your sacrifice... (Drop onto parking lot) 1 Quote
Fitz Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 I thought tempered glass instantly turned itself to a bajillion small bits on a fracture? Quote

Mister X Posted July 2, 2016 Report Posted July 2, 2016 Not sure I am winning the war against the grass. Not sure how much it matters though. And because July rocks.... 5 Quote
n_maher Posted July 2, 2016 Report Posted July 2, 2016 Nice Marshall. My grass is brown and burned, despite having an irrigation system. We did get some good rain last night for the first time in weeks so we'll see how it goes from here. My tomatoes and mint appear to be doing ok but that's with regular watering. Quote

Got a callback yesterday for a meeting (to take place when I return from vacation). That was easy... 2nd interview was just scheduled. I think that means I have the job. 8 Quote
