Dusty Chalk
Leaf it! No, seriously, that's what nature does, and there's now a way to break it up with a lawnmower have the lawn mulch itself, essentially.

en480c4
We got to go up and visit with the new dog again today. She's due in late November, and since we're going to take both her and the one puppy, we will actually be able to bring them home closer to Christmas than late January like we had thought. It's still going to be tough to wait, but she's a sweet dog and it'll be worth it. Well, got some bad news... The dog is fine, but she appears to have lost the puppy. Things were looking good this time last week, but mid-week she seemed to transition back to pre-pregnancy condition. We were really looking forward to having the two new additions, but if we're honest, this will be much more manageable, and we'll get to bring her home as soon as they can spay her. We'll probably get to pick her up the first weekend in December. Disappointing, but we were told this was a real possibility, do not entirely unexpected, either.

skullguise
Bad and good news Ian. Sorry she lost the pup, but it sounds like you'll get her a bit sooner, which is good. And you'll worry less about taking care of the puppy.... Good luck!
Voltron
Sorry to hear about the pup, but glad the mama dog is heading home to you soon. Two dogs and one daughter will keep you plenty occupied.
acidbasement
Dug the hole today. You know, the hole that you dig at the start of every winter before the ground freezes, just in case one of your 8 pets dies in the next 5 months and you need a shallow grave on short notice? Nobody else does that?
luvdunhill
I don't know what to say to that. Do you also build your own ice rinks?

Voltron
Today I proved that I can bring home the bacon and fry it up in a pan. I mixed & poured concrete while simultaneously baking cookies. And I even did a little lawyering in the middle. Importantly, I marked the foundation with cryptic symbols.

Augsburger
Is the cement retaining wall for El Nino preparation or just an outstanding project? We are replacing a part of our roof just in case the 100 year flood does come our way.
