grawk Posted March 14, 2013 Report Posted March 14, 2013 Mikey understands my dilema. All of the problems would have been fine, had I been able to make coffee.
Voltron Posted March 14, 2013 Report Posted March 14, 2013 Lack of caffeine even has you mixing up Mikey and Steve! That must have sucked Dan. I hope the back is better for your gig, Lain.
acidbasement Posted March 14, 2013 Report Posted March 14, 2013 Lack of caffeine even has you mixing up Mikey and Steve! That must have sucked Dan. I hope the back is better for your gig, Lain. Now you're mixing up Lain and Iain. Thanks though - it continues to improve even since this morning.
acidbasement Posted March 14, 2013 Report Posted March 14, 2013 That qualifies as a good excuse, especially given the theme of the last few pages in this thread.
mypasswordis Posted March 14, 2013 Report Posted March 14, 2013 Feel better, peeps. I recovered from a really bad three week flu like a week ago. Also in the theme of the last few pages, anyone know anything about some sort of PT or brace or something that can bend a collarbone straight again? Fractured my collarbone like 10 years ago and it didn't heal straight which means my left shoulder is slightly lower and pulled forward, and it bothers me sometimes.
VPI Posted March 14, 2013 Report Posted March 14, 2013 Just re-break it and set it properly. Easy peasy. 2
Augsburger Posted March 14, 2013 Report Posted March 14, 2013 In case you need a tutorial, click on the bike thread and search for the Brent mountain biking video. "Easy peasy" 2
mypasswordis Posted March 14, 2013 Report Posted March 14, 2013 Heh, I was hoping there would be a solution that didn't involve a few months of recovery. But yeah that is a possibility. And I'm still pretty clear on how I broke it the first time, so no tutorial needed.
MexicanDragon Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 In case you need a tutorial, click on the bike thread and search for the Brent mountain biking video. "Easy peasy" You beat me AND Jeff to that one. Well done! **BRENT**
The Monkey Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 X-ray on my knee that I smashed into the floor on Tuesday night when I slipped on the fucking bamboo wearing socks. I'm sure it's ok, but I have bad knees so just want to make sure there's no fracture. Got the Drobo up and running after messing it up a little bit. All seems good now. Have the Little Monkey with me for several more days. Weekend and St. Patrick's Day coming up, so let the good times roll.
Augsburger Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 (edited) You beat me AND Jeff to that one. Well done! **BRENT** I only posted that because I admire your tenacity and style. My single track mountain biking days are long gone. Dinny, if you have bad knees don't you think it is risky doing all those 10K runs, especially on asphalt? My surgeon told me years ago that long runs on asphalt accelerates the knee replacement timeframe, in which case you should buy a years worth of DAC purchases in this stock SYK http://www.getaroundknee.com/why-stryker?cid=Google_Stryker-Branded_Stryker-1006&gclid=CMGlp8ze_bUCFag7MgodOyoAFw 'jus sayin' Edited March 15, 2013 by Augsburger
guzziguy Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 Drove an hour to see my sister in Los Robles Hospital. She's in Surgical ICU and was able to stay awake for 20 minutes. Then I drove back home.
grawk Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 Good luck Ken's sister I made coffee without burning the shit out of myself.
morphsci Posted March 15, 2013 Author Report Posted March 15, 2013 Finally back home and catching up. Hope everyone is over the flu, fractures and whatever. Hope your sister recovers quickly Ken.
The Monkey Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 x-rays negative! Just some bursitis and a nice big bruise. And, yes, Greg, I'm done with running I think and need to get back to Spin class. 1
MexicanDragon Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 Dinny... we should buy bikes today. Let's make it happen. **BRENT**
Wmcmanus Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 Good news, Dinny. Let the healing begin.Continued thoughts and prayers for your sister, Ken.
Augsburger Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 x-rays negative! Just some bursitis and a nice big bruise. And, yes, Greg, I'm done with running I think and need to get back to Spin class. From my limited experience the view is much better in the spin class than running through the streets of NY. 1
Augsburger Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 Not to be argumentive but neither of those are spin class bikes unless your spin class is on a Carnival cruise line. Now this is a spin bike.
