The landlord seemed baffled at the size of "the stereo" for a 400 s.f. apartment.

"Stereo? Oh no, that's just the video system. The stereo is still packed in boxes."

These non audiophiles. They're so odd.

Yes, that's a woodburning stove behind. Something I'll never use. Still have my Alaskan blood. Never used the heat in my last place in 7 years. I do have a few electric heaters if needed, but pretty sure they'll gather dust too.

No Noel Lee products were used in the making of these photos!

I've built my own speaker cables, with a bit of advice from a New Hampshire circle hole cutter.

Are those Monster cables?

Now that makes more sense.

I'm sure you meant to have the reflection in the TV, no?

Good thing I have no shame. Fixed, even though now crowded with empty boxes. 🤣

The audio system is close, but as you can see I need to buy a pair of Monoprice speaker stands. Probably won't hook it up until I've done that.

I'm almost unpacked. Got some kitchen stuff still to do, and a few doggy things, but that's about it. Calling it quits for tonight though.

Believe it or not, this is my favorite source for digital. It's just easy for me. And the Wadia sounds fantastic.

And headphone central is ready for action.

That's an iPod that Fitz modded for me. It has a 1tb. solid state drive and an extended, upgraded battery. It'll run continuous for over 4 days.

Although the Wadia charges it as well.

During the course of this move 6 of the 8 feet on my Gallo subs. Just desentagrated. The rubber has dried solid and they've just crumbled. They do sell replacements but they're proud of them, and I'm sure those will eventually crumble too.

So I bought some 6mm Allen head bolts and some rubber tabs...

They sit a bit lower but that's fine. These power conditioners make a pretty good foundation. And you can tell by the name that they're quality units. The 8 sockets per unit is just perfect for the amount of gear I have plugged into them.

I'm no longer below a house, and I'm looking forward to seeing what this system is actually capable of. No other units connected to mine.

Why, oh why, did you put a link that has "Stud Bumpers" and "size" mentioned in the URL? There's gonna be at least 3 @swt61-sourced jokes in the next reply.

Don't worry Brent, you'll always be my favorite stud bumper!
