aerius
Wrote another paragraph of the Audeze LCD-XC review I've been working on for over a year. I'm only 5 paragraphs in and I've already rewritten this cursed thing more times than I care to count. There's nothing wrong with the headphone, but in some ways it's so different from anything else I've owned that I've had to rethink a bunch of things I thought I knew about headphones and then try to put everything into context. 3 1

Grahame
On the 80th anniversary of D-Day, I was on a boat. That I can confirm, arrived in San Francisco. Where there was a tech conference. Where AI was the buzzword du jour. I left a d-_-b prompt Hidden in plain sight Saw the tech they used to put on the show Call that a camera rig? And saw the filming of a spot, " live to tape" Can you tell the shiny presenters from the guests? I noticed a suspiciously named company, that DoTU, May need to restrain due to prior art. Maybe not. https://voltrondata.com/ Got some swag. And a SF choc ice from their marketing budget. It finished with a nerd party. That made me happy. Funnily enough, no one mentioned recent headlines. (Whatever you do, don't mention the data breach(es)) https://www.wired.com/story/snowflake-breach-advanced-auto-parts-lendingtree/ Saw Collin's San Francisco cousin. Then finished off my trip to the City by the bay by seeing sea lions. Lots of sea lions. Noisy buggers! PXL_20240607_003730227.mp4 All in all, a fun day out. 12

Augsburger
If this were still an audio forum, members would post/claim that rubbing the putty on their tubes made them sound richer and more real.

Ric Schultz @ Electronic Visionary Systems will put "gunk" (putty or something similar) even on some solid state parts as dampening/vibration control. I have never had a piece of gear NOT improved by him, but holy shitballs is that tweaky!

Voltron
I clearly should have read the description of this exhibition we went to today, as should my brother who told us it was a Wes Anderson exhibit at a local museum. Not true. Here is their description of this thing that was pleasant and contained some good but not really artistic or professional photograph. "Accidentally Wes Anderson: The Exhibition" is a journey through more than 200 of the most beautiful, idiosyncratic, and interesting places on Earth – all seemingly plucked from the whimsical world of Wes Anderson. 10 themed rooms provide you a personal passport to visual inspiration and adventure with amazing photography and immersive moments throughout. https://awaexhibition.com/los-angeles/

Voltron
There are multiple locations because there is nothing unique about the contents. Print more pictures, paint some walls in pastels or jewel tones and create evocative knick knacks like faux hotel keys arranged in little boxes or a couple of beach umbrellas and a bench with fake trees or a surf board propped up behind them. And what not.

blessingx
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll run it by Esmé, but as an American I’ve always been confused by Paddington.
swt61
He's a bear that wears a hat and talks. What's confusing about that? 😋 As far as I'm concerned, movies about talking bears are a dime a dozen.
