swt61 Posted April 5, 2022 Report Posted April 5, 2022 Got a chance to use some of the new tools working at the boss' house. 4
swt61 Posted April 5, 2022 Report Posted April 5, 2022 It's doing really good. I'm guessing another few weeks and I can lose the bandage. 6
blessingx Posted April 8, 2022 Report Posted April 8, 2022 Had outer stitches removed from my neck today due a hole made recently extracting a growth. Not sure if it was ever really in doubt, but was tested and a simple epidermal inclusion cyst, thus benign. One of those I never felt in danger, but still felt strangely giddy when the expected test results came back. 18
mikeymad Posted April 8, 2022 Report Posted April 8, 2022 good to hear Ric. but..... {please don't} 3

Craig Sawyers Posted April 8, 2022 Report Posted April 8, 2022 Woohoo - that must be a weight off! Great news Ric. Been there recently so I know exactly the nervousness waiting for the result. Mine took a bit longer to heal than expected because the bone headed nurse that took the stitches out, left a fragment in and that got infected, which was not fun. 1
swt61 Posted April 9, 2022 Report Posted April 9, 2022 Finished up the fence/gate job at my boss' house. The wall now reaches down to the top of the planter. 9

I really don't remember how to hide photos. New skin growing in quickly. I had an eye exam yesterday at Marin Clinic. The Dr. asked why my finger was bandaged. After telling g her the story she insisted on having one of the general physicians look at it. After looking at it he said it looks like it's healing well, and said that I was doing everything right, other than not seeing a Dr. about it at the time. He commented that it was lucky it wasn't a worse outcome. I then showed him several pictures I took right after it happened. He about fell on the floor. He told me that I'm an amazing healer. That has always been the case, and I'm glad to see that age hasn't slowed down that process for me. Oh yeah, my eyes are great too. 7
morphsci Posted April 13, 2022 Author Report Posted April 13, 2022 Delivered a signed copy of IRS form 8879 to our CPA and then made a small donation to the U.S. Treasury 1 1
n_maher Posted April 13, 2022 Report Posted April 13, 2022 I submitted my donation on Sunday night. Did not feel good. 1
swt61 Posted April 13, 2022 Report Posted April 13, 2022 Removed the bandage from my finger. Realized that this latest accident actually removed the long scar from where the Dr. had sewn the finger together from the first accident. 5
Augsburger Posted April 14, 2022 Report Posted April 14, 2022 Tried teaching my neighbor's dog not to poop on my lawn. It did not go well. The second one hiding at 9 o'clock was much larger and totally unafraid of me. We parted company acknowledging it would be better not to test each other. 7
n_maher Posted April 14, 2022 Report Posted April 14, 2022 It is sightings like that, and similar ones that have occurred in my neck of the woods, that have me thinking that something like a bean bag shotgun wouldn’t be the worst thing to have around. 1

Voltron Posted April 15, 2022 Report Posted April 15, 2022 Why did the turtle want to cross the road?

EdipisReks1 Posted April 16, 2022 Report Posted April 16, 2022 Spending my first night at home in a few days. My mother was okay today and yesterday (at least what passes for her after surgery), but there was a bad reaction to tramadol the day before which ended in agitated hallucinatory delusions for about 18 hours. It was rough. 6

swt61 Posted April 23, 2022 Report Posted April 23, 2022 All you need is a little Drew Barrymore type...
Augsburger Posted April 23, 2022 Report Posted April 23, 2022 The thought has crossed my mind I will say. 1
Craig Sawyers Posted April 27, 2022 Report Posted April 27, 2022 Actually last week walking in Orkney and Shetland. Orkney is flat with wet pools and quite boring geographically, Shetland is much hillier and nicer to walk. Weather was uncharacteristically superb; the whole area is known for torrential rain and gale force winds, often together. Jarleshof is a Viking trading post on Shetland. The Old Man of Hoy is a famous 450 feet sea stack, and is notoriously difficult to climb. Scara Brea is a stone age settlement on Orkney. Note the stone sideboard! Real Flintstones. And two pics of us. 12
