Augsburger Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 Don't you just hate when that happens?
VPI Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 What the fuck are you talking about?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 5
Hopstretch Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 I nearly asked you that in the bike thread earlier. 4
Sechtdamon Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 I came home!!!!11! The shitholes at army recruitment office forgot to make me sign the paper. So I fucking spent 7 hours on road just for a sign. Well I'd curse more but I got to see the cats!!! I'll post pic on proper topic. Damn I missed them. 4
skullguise Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 ^^ Like for coming home, dislike for stupid bureaucracy.... 3

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I tried explaining to my dad who worked on Treasury networks and at Mitre and he had a similar reaction. (Almost lost six thousand dollars unwittingly trying to save a few pennies.)
swt61 Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 I don't fully understand either, but it almost seems as though you're implying that cash in the wallet would be a safer bet? Rockin' dead Presidents old school baby!
luvdunhill Posted January 8, 2017 Report Posted January 8, 2017 Finished up my data center closet shelf. Most of the work is hidden behind my UPS, but basically coax, Ethernet and power in a 2-gang wall plate. 6
Dusty Chalk Posted January 8, 2017 Report Posted January 8, 2017 I got stuck in Toy Blast. I don't usually play these games, but it was so easy...until I hit about level 51, then I got stuck for a while, then I got lucky, and now I'm stuck at level 54, I think I'm going to quit here, because I keep getting overwhelmed by the ice, and "cold turkey" is the only way I know how to beat an addiction.
Voltron Posted January 9, 2017 Report Posted January 9, 2017 Big rain/wind storm last night and today. Power out all morning then back on, only to lose phone/Internet /cable all afternoon until now. Hoping that it hangs on for a few more hours anyway. Two doors down the neighbors were not home and their power line from the pole across the street was draped onto their driveway. It was still connected at both ends but a large broken branch on their driveway must have brought it down. I called the power company to report it and rigged a warning sign to put at the front of their driveway. Oh, and I bumped my head into the wire while setting up the sign. Oops. No utility truck and no neighbors at last check. These same people had a very large tree crush their house a few years ago and it was only rebuilt as of about two years ago...
Augsburger Posted January 9, 2017 Report Posted January 9, 2017 Be careful Al those downed power lines can arc to puddles and...well you know what that means. We will be getting your storm by morning so I am told. glad I didn't wash my car last week.
ironbut Posted January 9, 2017 Report Posted January 9, 2017 Power lines scare the hell out of me. Knew a guy whose car got trapped when a tree went down in the Santa Cruz mountains. Stepped out of his car onto a line and got smoked before he even got out the car. Be safe up there!

Voltron Posted January 9, 2017 Report Posted January 9, 2017 I had a ball cap and raincoat hood on and just didn't realize how close it was. Not going to mess around with it anymore. 6
Augsburger Posted January 9, 2017 Report Posted January 9, 2017 A good friend of ours dropped off a bag of Meyer lemons from her garden so naturally I juiced them and am now tweaking a Lemoncello receipe using a vodka that is infused with lime and caviar. It will either turn out to be awesome or azz. 1
EdipisReks1 Posted January 9, 2017 Report Posted January 9, 2017 This was yesterday, but I had an excellent second date. She ("New Emily") lived in Europe for several years, until quite recently, and lost her driving privileges in Ohio. I tutored her on the Ohio maneuverability portion, which is basically just parallel parking. Went well! She failed that part three times in the last two months, so I can't possibly have hindered things. 5
Voltron Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 I mucked out the Mayberry Slough for the third time this week (at least). https://vimeo.com/198910178
Voltron Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 Nothing arcy sparky, but I did just get a flash flood warning on my phone that the creek is at flood stage and rising. Not a risk to the house but it can create mobility issues.
swt61 Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 Not today, but I start back to work tomorrow. 5

swt61 Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 Yep, unpaid vacation. I probably lost 6 BAI. 3
