CarlSeibert Posted September 30, 2014 Report Posted September 30, 2014 Bonnie made us matching "B - C 24" rubber wristbands for our anniversary. 3
Augsburger Posted September 30, 2014 Report Posted September 30, 2014 Those are very cool! I have seen them for sale on Etsy, they are imbedded with GPS RFID transponders you know.
Grahame Posted September 30, 2014 Report Posted September 30, 2014 Made a new friend After listening to a pitch on the "joys" of data integrity. I hope Joanne appreciates what I have to go through. 1
Augsburger Posted September 30, 2014 Report Posted September 30, 2014 Grahame, is that a security dongle of some type /\ /\ /\ /\ ?
Grahame Posted September 30, 2014 Report Posted September 30, 2014 If so I can't get it out of cute mode. I also got to take a new "wearable" home. Can you guess which one?
blessingx Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 What's on the top of the frame? An udder?
Grahame Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) What's on the top of the frame? An udder? A developers hand about to point at one of the watches (or the underside of an oracle show cow) Edited October 1, 2014 by Grahame
blessingx Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) Shopped online for Halloween costumes for Esmé this morning. If it was somehow possible to ignore gender issues the other eleven months, I'm not sure how anyone could get over October. Exhibit A: Girls Darth Vader... Edited October 1, 2014 by blessingx
Dusty Chalk Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 So don't buy a girl's costume. Also, there's an entity I follow on Facebook, I forget the name, A Mighty Girl? Might want to look there, they post a lot about that sort of thing.
blessingx Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 My buying or not has nothing to do with it. 1
shellylh Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 I don't see the problem, I think you would look great in that costume Ric! 1
grawk Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 I also don't see the problem. If either of my daughters (or sons) wanted to wear that, I wouldn't have a problem with it. It's just a darth vader costume with a skirt and knee socks. It's not particularly "slutty" or revealing. It's campy fun. There's no need to get uptight about everything. Actually, that'd be a great way to harrass my kids, I wonder if they make one in men's XXL... 1
Dusty Chalk Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 Here are some other ideas for you, Dan: Dad costumes If you want to one-up this guy, make sure your moobs are pressed together and lifted and put on display. My buying or not has nothing to do with it. Oh, okay, yeah, I see what you're saying, that's the sort of thing that Mighty Girl points out and tries to raise awareness about. 1

Dusty Chalk Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 Yeah, it's going to be pretty hard to out-shame (in a playful way) his kids.
grawk Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 I dunno, I'm my kids' dad. The bar is already pretty high.
CarlSeibert Posted October 2, 2014 Report Posted October 2, 2014 Installed audiophile exhaust fan in the bathroom. .8 sonne, they claim. Whatever that may translate to. Sadly, it will never achieve anything like that. The flex duct from the roof to the bathroom is a long, snaking affair that necks down from 4" to about six feet of 3" at the fan end. There's way too much back pressure. So you can hear a lot of air moving, or trying to. And a little bit of sheet metal noise that might could benefit from some damping. The stupid duct is inaccessible. I can see it from an access panel in our bedroom closet but I can't reach it from there. I thought maybe from the hole I made for the new fan I could get hold of enough of it to replace the 3" part, but no dice. Regardless, the new fan is one heck of a lot quieter than the rattling piece of scrap metal that was the old one. Moves more air, too.
MexicanDragon Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 I felt sick for a couple days; OTC stuff wasn't doing the job. Went to clinic after work/exhibit night at the kids' schools. I felt horrible. After 2 hours of waiting and tests and whatnot, it seems I have H1N1 flu + an upper respiratory infection. How fun is that? **BRENT**
agile_one Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 Brent ... that is no effing fun at all. Hope you feel better stat, whatever it takes. Oh, and stay away from Dallas ... hear there is some really bad shit down there.
