n_maher Posted June 7, 2014 Report Posted June 7, 2014 Congrat, Ric and stay quiet, Al. Lucky is better than good most days. 1
Pars Posted June 7, 2014 Report Posted June 7, 2014 ^ Ain't that the truth! Nice move Al Me: a week ago, took Tuesday off and played golf with a good friend at a nice course. We wound up getting 36 holes in with an 11:00 am start, beat the storms home that night (for the most part). Had some good beers on the course (some brought with); Revolution A Little Crazy and some Two Brothers Sidekick. Had a great time. 2
swt61 Posted June 7, 2014 Report Posted June 7, 2014 Good recovery, Al ... best wishes to Karyl. This!
skullguise Posted June 7, 2014 Report Posted June 7, 2014 Ditto to all the above. Good move, Mr. Romantic!
Absorbine_Sr Posted June 7, 2014 Report Posted June 7, 2014 I always knew you were slick Al. Happy Birthday to Karyl.
MexicanDragon Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 Watching Widespread Panic at the Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga. **BRENT** 2
Dusty Chalk Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 Smoov, Al. was already going to post that before I saw John's post.
skullguise Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 (edited) Went out last night for my mother-in-law's 86th birthday. One of my wife's sisters and her family were there, the other couldn't make it. My mother-in-law looks pretty damn good for 86! Edited June 8, 2014 by skullguise 6
agile_one Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 MIL looks amazingly good, Todd. Don't bring her to happy hour in SO FL bars - she would be overrun with overage hipsters with ponytails and claims they were at Woodstock. Nice you were there for her. 1
Grahame Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 Enjoyed some stunning views of a sunny San Francisco from a Brit friends Roof top terrace 4
agile_one Posted June 9, 2014 Report Posted June 9, 2014 Nice, Grahame ... was there bacon? Views are nothing without bacon.
skullguise Posted June 9, 2014 Report Posted June 9, 2014 Nice, Grahame ... was there bacon? Views are nothing without bacon. Looks like those red-marked areas in pic one could pass for bacon.... And that's a damn nice terrace view!!
MexicanDragon Posted June 9, 2014 Report Posted June 9, 2014 Watching Buddy Guy while sipping on a mojito in a bar overlooking the festival. Good times. **BRENT** 1
Grahame Posted June 9, 2014 Report Posted June 9, 2014 (edited) Nice, Grahame ... was there bacon? Views are nothing without bacon. There was no Bacon, but there were chocolate fingers. , which almost made up for the lack of Bacon. Almost. Edited June 9, 2014 by Grahame
morphsci Posted June 11, 2014 Author Report Posted June 11, 2014 Spent the morning setting up an xbox-360 with kinect for the man-cub. Peter is 10 today so of course we now have three game consoles in the house 2
Hopstretch Posted June 11, 2014 Report Posted June 11, 2014 Happy Birthday Peter! And I feel your pain, Jim. My 9-year-old kicks my butt at FIFA 14 with frankly contemptuous ease.
jvlgato Posted June 11, 2014 Report Posted June 11, 2014 Happy birthday, Peter! And agree, I can't beat my 9 year old son at any video games. 1
guzziguy Posted June 11, 2014 Report Posted June 11, 2014 Happy Birthday, Peter! Happy Birthday Peter! And I feel your pain, Jim. My 9-year-old kicks my butt at FIFA 14 with frankly contemptuous ease. As long as he can't kick your butt at drinking games, you're doing well.
ironbut Posted June 11, 2014 Report Posted June 11, 2014 Enjoyed some stunning views of a sunny San Francisco from a Brit friends Roof top terrace Honestly can't remember if I found this here or not,.. But, here's some very cool public spaces in SF. http://blog.sfgate.com/johnking/2014/03/26/8-great-public-spaces-hidden-in-downtown-san-francisco/#21770101=0
Grahame Posted June 11, 2014 Report Posted June 11, 2014 Interesting you mention that. The views were from the Roof Terrace of The Paramount. From there you can see other roof terraces that are supposed to be "Public Places". My friend mentioned that she has had words, on various occasions with officials who didn't understand the meaning of "Public Place" e.g. "you can't just go up there, you need an appointment with someone in the building", The SPUR guide would make an interesting starting point http://www.spur.org/sites/default/files/migrated/anchors/popos-guide.pdf
