agile_one
Nice, Mike & John. Now fire up the barbie for rattler appetizer and gator main.Hmmmm, which wine?
jp11801
it was a great hike and really epic in that we were way off trail and deep into the part. The water parts were cool but reeked havoc on my knees and feet. That rattler was not amused with our group at all
Aimless1
Just returned from taking my 6 yr old grand son to a county fair. Animals, rides, corndogs, rides ... well, you get the idea. Great fun.

ironbut
Cool pictures guys. I don't know about gators, but snakes don't go out of their way to attack humans like movies would lead you to believe. When I was a kid in Georgia, I used to run around in a patch of zudzu vines sometimes. One year, my dad caught a bunch of Copperheads in that patch to sell to some lab. He filled a 55 gal drum about 1/4 of the way in just a couple of days! In my kid-bliss, I'd never even seen one there.
shellylh
Congrat! I know I would be really unhappy if I couldn't get my favorite (Frantoia).
Salt Peanuts
I've been meaning to try that olive oil ever since you mentioned it a while back, Reks, but have had no luck thus far. I'll remember to look at Kosher and organic sections next time - never thought to do that.
shellylh
I've had Frantoia, and it's very good, but I think Halutza is on another level, if you can find it. Desert climates really ratchet up flavor density in fruit, and while much of Italy is semi-arid, it doesn't quite do what the desert in Israel does. Of course, ratcheting up the flavor density in fruit isn't always a good thing (I've had a few really weird wines from Israel and Lebanon, though also a few rather nice ones), it works nicely for olives. I'll look for it.
Aimless1
Started the morning with no power. Received 4.9 inches of rain between 5:00 a.m - 8:00 a.m. at home and 5.63 inches at the office. Many new streams and small lakes across local road ways on the way into work this morning. Crazy detours to get to the office. Between the April flooding and this storm, it has been a very wet year.

For those interested, you can buy their organic version at Amazon. It's just a bit pricey. Or you can buy the non-organic version at Zabar's for a more reasonable price. Sorry, for $120 I expect free shipping. Also, I would be a little worried buying olive oil from a place called "cosmetic solutions." Dusty Chalk
I like how they put the price per ounce in a paranthetical aside, just in case you thought it was a typo. ("No, we meant to do that.") Cosmetic Solutions == money laundering front?

Augsburger
Cosmetic Solutions == money laundering front? That certainly is one way to do it. Chris, I hope the attempted scam was not successful.
Dusty Chalk
Chris, I hope the attempted scam was not successful. Aye, since you posted same day, here's to hoping you picked up on it before rather than after.
Nebby
Went scouting around the local bike stores on DA9000 pricing. One of them "looked up" their pricing and gave me....MSRP.
Dreadhead
Aye, since you posted same day, here's to hoping you picked up on it before rather than after. It is so. I reported it soon after he started talking about a third party doing pickup and paying with certified check...
