Salt Peanuts Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 Yesterday - switched out few outlets to tamper resistant type and was rudely reminded how screwy my house is wired. Still better than one of my friends' house which has thee electrical service panels.
aardvark baguette Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 It was so humid today that my amazon boxes fell apart outside, spiral notebooks and Ticonderogas all over the place. There was no rain whatsoever.
Dusty Chalk Posted July 10, 2013 Report Posted July 10, 2013 Tell me about it. My allergy filter masks last about 3 walks, and then it's exercise just to try to breathe through them. Diaphragm exercise.
shellylh Posted July 10, 2013 Report Posted July 10, 2013 (edited) Flew home from Paris today. France was nice but it is so nice to be home. After spending 21 out of the last 40 days in Europe (and traveling to and from Europe), all I want to do is stay here. It was great to smell the mesquite grilled meats as we got near our house! Also, Air France International Premium Economy Class is awesome!!! It's was almost as good as United Business Class in the states and didn't cost too much. KLM sucks but Air France is on my god side for now. Did I mention how nice it is to be home! Edited July 10, 2013 by shellylh 3
skullguise Posted July 10, 2013 Report Posted July 10, 2013 Grahame, you may not be far off for anything "French" and bacon. Even in my trip to Montreal and Quebec, I thought both the bacon and sausage were so much better in the US.
Dusty Chalk Posted July 10, 2013 Report Posted July 10, 2013 It was so humid today that my amazon boxes fell apart outside, spiral notebooks and Ticonderogas all over the place. There was no rain whatsoever. Also, Amazon sent me a link to rate packaging.
shellylh Posted July 10, 2013 Report Posted July 10, 2013 (edited) ^And have "proper" Bacon? Actually, I was delighted to find "proper" bacon at the daily breakfast buffet at our wonderful hotel in Paris! That was a total WIN! Edited July 10, 2013 by shellylh
en480c4 Posted July 13, 2013 Report Posted July 13, 2013 After a trip to Ikea yesterday, I was able to get the closet in the nursery all set today. Tough to beat their closet organizing stuff... Solid pine so it's easy to customize and fit in a 100+ year old barn without a straight, level or plumb surface at a fraction of the price of the particle board crap at the big box stores. She certainly won't be suffering from a lack of space for a while! 1
aardvark baguette Posted July 13, 2013 Report Posted July 13, 2013 Also, Amazon sent me a link to rate packaging. Thanks. I left them some accurate feedback
skullguise Posted July 14, 2013 Report Posted July 14, 2013 Nice Ian....looks a lot better than the white-coated wire stuff I put in my son's room. Functional, but not as nice.
n_maher Posted July 14, 2013 Report Posted July 14, 2013 Started vacation on the coast of Maine. Nana and papa eented a beach house for the week and with the exception of Tuesday I'll be up all week. It was gorgeous out today and the forecast is looking great.
n_maher Posted July 14, 2013 Report Posted July 14, 2013 Thanks Vicki. I can hear the surf crashing and I just lit the grill so life is good.
Grahame Posted July 14, 2013 Report Posted July 14, 2013 Played tourist with a cousin of Joanne, who is on a round the world trip/ compensated for not being in the mid west.
Salt Peanuts Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Went to a Lowell Spinners (Single A affiliate of Red Sox) as a part of my Father's Day present from my wife and daughter. Much to my wife and my surprise, Libby lasted the entire game and we all had a great time. After the game, Libby insisted that we come back again for another game.
Grahame Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Tourist at Imagination Park in San Anselmo played.
en480c4 Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Thanks guys. Unfortunately, after the baby shower today, I don't think there will be enough room in there!!!
MexicanDragon Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 So I think I talked about an ear ache in here a while back. I finally got my ENT appointment scheduled for 12 days from now, but it seems that I may have an ear infection popping up in my right (other) ear now, after having problems with the left since early June. Awesome.**BRENT**
MexicanDragon Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Yeah. I blame Canada.Hoping this one doesn't get to the point where the other one was before I get to the ENT, but I'm expecting a trip to the care center at work before week's end if the progression is similar.**BRENT**
Salt Peanuts Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Went to see doctor's office to get my rotator cuff issue checked out, basically to get better anti-inflammatory meds for it. While there, I also had them get me an appointment with an orthopedic doctor to address my ongoing wrist tendinosis. I laughed out loud when they told me the first available appointment with the orthopedic doctor is right before Thanksgiving.
Aimless1 Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 (sic)American medicine is better than socialized medicine right there(sic)
Salt Peanuts Posted July 17, 2013 Report Posted July 17, 2013 Been up for about 24 straight hours now. I don't know why I do this to myself.
