Grahame Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 (edited) Can you disintermediate them by using carsdirect.com ? Edited May 7, 2013 by Grahame
Dusty Chalk Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Or truecar.com. My ex almost got a CX-5, but she ended up getting a Subaru XV Crosstrek instead -- she's extremely happy with it (regularly gets 32mpg), but it might be too small for you if you want a 7-seater. It's a bit smaller than the CX-5, I think.
MexicanDragon Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Isn't the Mazda5 a 6 seater? It was when I checked it out back in 07 when it came out. **BRENT**
Dusty Chalk Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Oh, sorry, I confused CX-5 with the Mazda5...nevermind...
jvlgato Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 It was probably the monetization tool that todd is testing out. it tries to add links to text it thinks is contextually correct, though fails most of the time. It was probably blocked because it uses a url redirector. Oh shit, now I understand the monetization thing. I had seen a link to a Robbie the Robot on eBay in Jacob's post about a giant space robot and didn't understand it. Aha! Makes perfect sense now...
Dreadhead Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 As one would expect the Carmax offer was higher. Now I am hoping that the salesman was just lying to me and the other showroom has the 2012 in stock as it is way cheaper.
shellylh Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Booked a hotel for our trip to Paris this summer (we're tacking it onto the end of a trip to Luminy, France for a math conference). If anyone knows about the area, I would appreciate some feedback about the safety of this area. I think it is fine, just trying to make sure. I haven't been to Paris since I was 17 so it should be fun! http://www.hotelatmospheres.com/location.html 1
CarlSeibert Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Jacob, that sounds a lot like the way my mother was. So, what John says. It'll be tough. My poor sister nearly unraveled herself before the situation resolved. But it did work out eventually. Hang in there.
cetoole Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 I just started at looking at a trip to Paris and Florence in the August-September timeframe last night. In Boston right now.
guzziguy Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Wishing you and Emily the best, Jacob. Hang in there, both of you.
Aura Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 (edited) Shelly I can send you my itinerary when we get back from there on Memorial Day, and let you know what sucked. ...who am I kidding? It's motherfucking Paris. Jacob - sorry brother, good luck with the visit tomorrow and best wishes to you and Emily and being happy. Edited May 8, 2013 by Aura
cetoole Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Bryan I'd appreciate a copy as well. Need to know all the terrible places to avoid.
Grahame Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Not to shabby, Shelly. Ask Al for Claire's guide to Paris. Don't forget the Berthillon
blessingx Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 So much to love about Paris, but cemeteries above and catacombs below may hold my top spots.
Voltron Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Shelly, Saint Germaine is completely safe and your hotel looks chic and swanky. You can walk far and wide from that place without ever coming to a sketchy neighborhood. Taking the metro will be a cinch from a block away on Boulevard Saint-Germaine or Rue Monge. I will get Claire's Paris guide tips to Bryan, Colin and Shelly soon.
Dusty Chalk Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Just walked 3 miles. My, it's gorgeous outside.
Dreadhead Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 I'm am very much enjoying having dealers fight over my business and turning the whole information assymetry around on them. Prices are down almost a grand
Augsburger Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Just downloaded my boarding pass for my Southwest airlines flight to Chi Town tomorrow. Nothing like spending Friday and Saturday morning packing up the belongings of a college daughter, half of which I will transport to a South Bend storage unit. Too bad I can't visit any of the 3Floyds that I will be passing while driving from the airport to South Bend. Maybe we can find a nice restaurant around the Magnificent Mile to explore Saturday evening.
Dusty Chalk Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 My, it's gorgeous outside. Well that didn't last long. Lollers.
Voltron Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Well, at least the Jodi Arias jury wasn't swayed by her nonsense excuses. I hope they don't give her the death penalty and she rots for a long, long time.
swt61 Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Well, at least the Jodi Arias jury wasn't swayed by her nonsense excuses. I hope they don't give her the death penalty and she rots for a long, long time. Ooh, I hadn't heard yet. Fantastic! What an evil bitch!

raffy Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Glad that there are now steps to getting Emily better, Jacob. Sounds like a good start but make sure she takes her meds as directed and that she attends therapy as recommended by the doc.
agile_one Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Your life is not falling apart, Jacob. Your life is what you make it. Seems Emily is owning up to her issues, and as hard as it will be for you, you can make it work if that's what you want. Is she worth it? You thought so when you married her, so has that changed? If not, put your head down, and make it work. Stop hanging around here till things at home are good. If not, cut and run. Either way, it won't be easy, but you have our support. I do think you need to spend less time here, though ... stop posting about cameras. meets, knives, etc, and get your relationship worked out. Priorities, no? Sorry for the tough love ... if I'm off base, everyone feel free to kick my ass.
jvlgato Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 I've seen Abilify work wonders. (low dose, I hope!) (Trying not to meddle! But can't help myself) I hope it does for her.
