Read it and weep

Satellite radio had promise, but the usual market BS of having two incompatible standards, rather than having an open inter-operable standard,

and shock horror competing on price / service / quality.

So given finite bandwidth from the birds, and the marketing message that More Channels (N) was better than the resulting 1/N average bandwidth,

what do you expect.

If you're a long distance trucker, travel in the satellite footprint with line of sight, when out of cell/radio coverage, it has its place. But audio fidelity is not  a strong point. It shouldn't be harder to put together a better sounding stored media solution these days.

Great design ideas in Brooklyn these days!  Wish I were hanging with you although I took another day off and hung around the house taking down the allergy-inducing Christmas tree and other items and will be going out shortly with Claire's teacher friends for German beer, schnitzel, and karaoke of all things.  I won't be bothering with the last of those.  :/

Al does karaoke ... I love it.

Great photoshop. Had to save that one to my phone even though I did not pick up the mic last night. I thoroughly enjoyed the choucroute garni platter I had for dinner and the various beers I posted, so why wreck it by embarrassing myself at a dive bar? :P
