tyrion Posted October 17, 2012 Report Posted October 17, 2012 That sucks Reks but your knives are too sharp and I have the scare to prove it. Quote
raffy Posted October 17, 2012 Report Posted October 17, 2012 Reks, trust your pain-killers are suitably pharmaceutical or street pharmaceutical. FTFY Quote
Torpedo Posted October 17, 2012 Report Posted October 17, 2012 Jacob, you must be more careful with those sharp knives of yours Still don't get your doctor friend left you when bleeding Get well soon mate. Quote
aardvark baguette Posted October 17, 2012 Report Posted October 17, 2012 my dad always lectures me when he sees me holding a sharp knife he sunk his swiss army knife into his thumb pretty deep a few years ago on one of those retarded plastic death packages for toys its a source of great amusement to remind him that he is the only one who messed up hopefully you will look back and laugh someday (sorry, this is the only positive spin i can conjure up) Quote
Aimless1 Posted October 17, 2012 Report Posted October 17, 2012 Now we all know what the secret ingredients are ... All the best Jacob. Quote
CarlSeibert Posted October 17, 2012 Report Posted October 17, 2012 Yipes! All together now - let's be v-e-r-y c-a-r-e-f-u-l until the stars return to a more favorable alignment (or whatever it is that they do in situations like this) Quote
Augsburger Posted October 18, 2012 Report Posted October 18, 2012 i chopped off a fingertip, and then somehow lost a tooth. my friend for the evening, a doctor, left early ( i called my wife about my horrible bleeding, and she sent paramedics, who left before the bleeding had stopped, due to my friend), so i got to deal with that for fun, will be having new teeth tomorrow, and may having pain meds tonight. You think I looked bad, you should have seen the onion! That settles it! As your friend, thought leader and part time life coach I will trade you a safe mandoline http://www.cutleryandmore.com/calphalon/precision-mandoline-slicer-p124049?gclid=CK2hlMOpi7MCFaaDQgodI2QAWA for all your deadly and dangerous chef knives. Starting with the Shigefusa, trust me, it is for your own good. 1 Quote
spritzer Posted October 18, 2012 Report Posted October 18, 2012 Indeed, I'll send Jacob some of my old dull knifes so he's safe. This is what I did today, refurbished a L-Pro and a SRM-1 Mk2 Pro for a guy who lives next door to the bakery. Found me on HF.... Arc and headpad were beyond saving so a LNS replacement comes in handy plus the amp got a good cleaning, new caps and a thorough test. It helps to know the neighborhood baker... 1 Quote
Knuckledragger Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 About to depart on the first leg of what is to be a loooong journey that culminates with me spinning for five hours at RISE in BOS. I'm going to be depending on my somewhat temperamental Macintop, so please send any good vibes (or whatever is the equivalent in your personal weltanschauung) in my general direction. See y'all in a day or so. Quote
Grahame Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 ^ Good luck Knucks. Rock the house or whatever. Quote
Dusty Chalk Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 Save travels, and may your macintop's temperament be 'willing' during those crucial hours. Quote
Torpedo Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 Best wishes Dan, you'll do great Quote
cutestory Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 Drove from LA to Santa Barbara on a Friday evening. Not the best time to drive. Made it, tho. Going to drink some wine at a few places in Santa Ynez tomorrow. Yummers! Quote
guzziguy Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 (edited) Traffic heading back Sunday pm will be just as bad or even worse. What places are you visiting? Longoria is my favorite, but there are many, many good places to try. Edited October 20, 2012 by guzziguy Quote

The Monkey Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 Slept until 11am today for the first time in god knows how long. Feeling bad because I am being lazy. But I'm thinking I deserve a lazy day or two. 1 Quote
swt61 Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 (edited) I don't think I could physically do that, but it'd be fun to try. Good for you! I wake at 6:00 am automatically, and have for years. Nice build Rude, love the Joshua Tree! Edited October 20, 2012 by swt61 Quote
