shellylh Posted July 13, 2012 Report Posted July 13, 2012 Went to work. Came home. Went a LBS. Brought home a bike. What kind? Pics please.
Augsburger Posted July 13, 2012 Report Posted July 13, 2012 One half hour til the Chateau Montelena wine tasting event..............woohoo!
Knuckledragger Posted July 14, 2012 Report Posted July 14, 2012 I twisted my ankle around mile 3 of a 5 1/2 mile walk yesterday. Of course, today I can barely move.
Dusty Chalk Posted July 14, 2012 Report Posted July 14, 2012 Yeezh. Of course you were just about at the halfway point, of course you were. Me: filled out a bunch of paperwork. Giggidy giggidy. Yes, I'm excited about paperwork. Not because paperwork excites me, but because of what it PORTENDS.
Salt Peanuts Posted July 14, 2012 Report Posted July 14, 2012 Tried to take off the gas line on our grill that some critter had chewed through. I was not successful and in the process, the catch/drip pan disintegrated into numerous pieces from after years of hard use. Argh.
agile_one Posted July 14, 2012 Report Posted July 14, 2012 JP and raffy here last night - great times at some of my locals. This morning the lads were off for some riding while I went back home to watch Tour de France on tv.
Wmcmanus Posted July 14, 2012 Report Posted July 14, 2012 Got the Christmas tree lighting gig this year at Camana Bay, which is an awesome event which draws thousands of people. Seems kind of lame in this video, but it's really a nice event. Of course, the Santa they had last year wasn't the real deal... (Santa's job is to plug in the Christmas tree, which they don't show, but no biggie). They also do a boat show called the "Parade of Light" in the adjoining canal with dozens of boats all lit up in creative Christmas ways. I'll be participating in that event as well, as I did last year, arriving in the last boat.
Salt Peanuts Posted July 14, 2012 Report Posted July 14, 2012 Took my daughter out to ride her balance bike. It was a blast but rather tiring since she is still learnIng to ride the thing so I had to do a lot of pushing and bending over.
Salt Peanuts Posted July 14, 2012 Report Posted July 14, 2012 she's already riding a bicycle? that reminds me of my niece, who is 19th months old, but i swear she will be in college soon, given how much bigger she is every time i see her. Not a real pedaling bicycle - imagine a bike without pedals you'd push off with your feet and balance as you ride. It really is ridiculous how much and how quickly a toddler picks things up - it wasn't all that long ago when my daughter wasn't making any real sentences, let alone discernible words.
HeadphoneAddict Posted July 15, 2012 Report Posted July 15, 2012 Took a bike ride with my son and daughter, grabbed a bite to eat, and can barely move now. If I hadn't lost 50 lbs already I'd be dead instead.
grawk Posted July 15, 2012 Report Posted July 15, 2012 it'll work out jacob. It always does. In the mean time, do something productive rather than destructive.
morphsci Posted July 15, 2012 Author Report Posted July 15, 2012 ^^^^ this and sorry. Drove home from SC today. 1
Augsburger Posted July 15, 2012 Report Posted July 15, 2012 Sorry Jacob. Dan is right, things will work out in the end so hang in there and try to listen to some tunes to relax.
shellylh Posted July 15, 2012 Report Posted July 15, 2012 Fuck Jacob, that sucks. Hope things can be resolved soon.
CarlSeibert Posted July 15, 2012 Report Posted July 15, 2012 Damn Jacob. That sucks. What Dan said. Stay calm. Carry on. I spent the better part of the day migrating the family server (which is also my home desktop) to a new box and a new OS. My butt is numb and my eyes are bleary. I don't know why I get tense over this stuff. In the end I always learn what I have to and make the damned thing work. But I'm always terrified the whole thing will go sideways until the very end. Now that I can relax and enjoy it a little, the new machine is very nice.
Salt Peanuts Posted July 15, 2012 Report Posted July 15, 2012 Fuck Jacob, that sucks. Hope things can be resolved soon. x2
boomana Posted July 15, 2012 Report Posted July 15, 2012 Jacob, hang in there, and definitely take some deep breaths.
NightWoundsTime Posted July 15, 2012 Report Posted July 15, 2012 And get yourself a good studfinder. What you want to do is mark a few targets in common spots around your home where you're likely to be punching walls. Drywall < Fist < 2x4 2
909 Posted July 15, 2012 Report Posted July 15, 2012 Jacob, i am sorry to hear about what happened. at least she was just at her sister's. i'd say let this one go, make-up and move forward. and you might want to prepare yourself for some more unusual behavior before the wedding as it is to be expected. keep your cool, be the mature one, show compassion and don't look for accountability...
Dreadhead Posted July 15, 2012 Report Posted July 15, 2012 Sorry to hear that and I hope things work out Reks. Puts my phone breaking in perspective...
mrarroyo Posted July 15, 2012 Report Posted July 15, 2012 Get well soon Jacob and hope things get patched up soon. Yesterday the wife and I went to look at what I was hoping would be her new car (Mazda CX-5 Sport) but it did not work out. We have tested over 7 vehicles already and … I hate buying cars.
