Salt Peanuts Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 Went ou t to strawberry picking. It was a success.
shellylh Posted June 10, 2012 Report Posted June 10, 2012 Watched The Godfather, The Godfather II, and (part of) The Godfather III on the flight back from Germany. It is great to be back home even if it is like 30 degrees warmer. Overall the conference was really good so it was worth the jet lag and travel.
Voltron Posted June 10, 2012 Report Posted June 10, 2012 (edited) Awesome Shelly and welcome home. Nice marathon for the plane ride. We got a suite at the Giants game to celebrate my dad's 90th birthday. It was a great success and the Giants kicked ass on the Rangers so that made it even more perfect. Oh, I forgot to mention that this is just weeks after my dad had a stroke and then was hospitalized again with blood clots up and down his legs. Nice recovery! Edited June 10, 2012 by Voltron
shellylh Posted June 10, 2012 Report Posted June 10, 2012 Looks like an excellent day Al... do you think the ballpark would fit in the fax machine?

blessingx Posted June 10, 2012 Report Posted June 10, 2012 (edited) Also see some of his son in that face. Looks like a nice birthday and great recovery. Nice marathon Shelly. What airline shows The Godfather series??? Best I've ever seen are Dolly Pardon and Garfield marathons on planes. Not quite the same! Edited June 10, 2012 by blessingx

Dusty Chalk Posted June 10, 2012 Report Posted June 10, 2012 Saw Prometheus. Dug it. Saw Religulous. Meh. Enjoyed, but only because I was told that it was really really mediocre, so my expectations were low. Heck, he's funnier when he's adlibbing. Glad you got to spend a very special day with your Da, Al.
Absorbine_Sr Posted June 10, 2012 Report Posted June 10, 2012 Happy Birthday to the FOTDOTU!! And Al, I'm so glad his recovery has been so good as that must help you and the rest of your family in these busy intense times.

Torpedo Posted June 10, 2012 Report Posted June 10, 2012 Happy Birthday to Mr B! He's looking great. I'm glad he overcame so quickly the stroke Welcome Shelly! Getting ready for a intense sports afternoon-evening. Starting at 15:00 the Nadal vs Djokovic Roland Garros finals. Then at 18:00 the debut of the Spanish Soccer Team vs Italy in the EuroCup, and at 20:00 the F1 Montreal Grand Prix. Too much exercise for my blood, not sure I'll survive

shellylh Posted June 10, 2012 Report Posted June 10, 2012 Also see some of his son in that face. Looks like a nice birthday and great recovery. Nice marathon Shelly. What airline shows The Godfather series??? Best I've ever seen are Dolly Pardon and Garfield marathons on planes. Not quite the same! Yeah, I was pretty surprised. We were on a newish Continental (now United) plane. They had mostly old movies but lots of good ones and 60 to choose from.
