Get well to all the others who are not well. I'm on Biaxin and two nasal sprays. Plus...PLUS a hydrocodone-based cough syrup. Wow, this stuff really puts me to sleep (it works wonders on my cough as well). Have to be careful if I need it at work because I try to counteract it with coffee, then get crazy jittery, yo. Wheeeee. At least it gets me to type fast as hell now. (note for Antonio: it's tussionex pennkinetic!)

Nate ... ok., I'll admit it, I MISS SNOW! Dammit, I like a good storm with 20" or so to dig out from, then slap on the boards for a little x-country. That's what your great pic of not-so-little-anymorw Lily made me think of. Enjoy it (snow) and those beautiful children

CJ - Niagra Falls + woman + you. This doesn't compute. Just remember, those casino are open 24/7, so late flights mean nothing. Get out there and have fun. Congrats on gf, and getting away.

Great news. We were told the flight was going to be here at 9 pm. Announcement at 9:20 pm stated due to severe weather in ny (1 inch of rain according to every god damn fucking weather website) te flight was cancelled with no clue as to when the next flight will be. No refunds are given since weather was cited as a reason.

This was supposed to be my last vacation in a very very long time - at least a year bc of upcoming mcat prep and applications and what not. She was looking forward to it so much (as was I) but its not fucking fair. Not fair at all.

They just closed the counter and left. Do I have any leg to stand on in terms of a refund? I can't afford to pay for another flight that leaves tomorrow with another airline unless I can get a refund with this one. Are the airlines completely off the hook if they site weather as a reason for cancelling the flight? As Vicki said its hot as hell down here. An inch of rain up north.

Now I'm fucking pissed.

Try calling the reservations number. I've been reading up online and the pilicies suck for passengers' rights. But if you can get someone on the phone to change your ticket to a flight tomorrow, it's worth a shot....

Another thing to check is with your credit card company (if you paid for the tix thru that). Some of them offer built-in travel insurance when you buy with their card, maybe there's a possibility there.

I really can't believe that - despite the airlines' RIGHT not to refund - that they wouldn't do ANYTHING to try and help. Very bad publicity if they don't even try and change the flights....

Start out reasonable if you can, only esclaate to supervisors if you can't get anywhere, and good luck!
