skullguise Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Thanks, Larry, I'll look further into the dock with my iPhone 4. Never tried it, but they said it didn't recognize his iPhone 4 (IE, "not found" type of error versus "not designed for this device").....
Grahame Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Watching the Oscars. Dreadful. Silly Monkey. Are you sure you have selected the correct drinking game to accompany the event? Or the correct security detail
grawk Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 It worked with my iphone for audio, never hooked it to a tv
The Monkey Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Silly Monkey. Are you sure you have selected the correct drinking game to accompany the event? Or the correct security detail He lives in my building.
MexicanDragon Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 He lives in my building. Along with Tyra Banks, and your parents, right? **BRENT**
shellylh Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Made the ECD-1 part of my desktop setup. It a bit large, but I can live with it until I find a smaller worthy contender. I cannot bring myself to sell it but have mostly been using the PWD in my main system.
shellylh Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Thank you. I am enjoying it. All I need now is a 27" ACD. Too bad they are all glossy screens.
CarlSeibert Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Watching the Oscars. Dreadful. I thought the cinematographer guy had good hair.
swt61 Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Careful Shelly...your thunderpants are showing. 1
skullguise Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Ha! Just caught that on third look! Very nice setup, though, and defintiely like the art......
n_maher Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Nice, Shelly. The ECD1 appears to work perfectly since it offers enough space for the GS-1 and headphone stand. I do think that you should talk to your lone-star friend about a proper headphone stand though...
raffy Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Nice desktop Shelly! At the eye doctor's office waiting to have my eight eye checked for possible pink eye or eye infection
Aura Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Looking good Shelly! Damn Raffy, I hear Pappy clears pink eye right up. Hope the check goes okay.

crappyjones123 Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 (edited) Shelly that desk is waaaaaay too clean to be a Mathematicians desk. Where is all the paper with rejected proof ideas... Just to end things, the dean asked the director to grade me only on the things i answered which i didn't like because i tried to answer all the questions i could instead of answering a few completely. Then a second exam was suggested which the director didn't like obviously. The dean offered to give me an oral exam so she didn't have to do the extra work. I instantly agreed. The director bitched about it but then agreed. I answered all questions to his satisfaction (and to her annoyance). Walked out of his office with an A. Also had an organic chemistry lecture exam this morning which i kicked ass on. 3 more tests, 2 lab reports and a take home quiz due by Thursday. Friday, 3pm, flight to niagara falls with a pretty girl at my arm. Edited February 27, 2012 by crappyjones123

You don't like my fancy banana stand? Yeah, she's next in line. Shelly that desk is waaaaaay too clean to be a Mathematicians desk. Where is all the paper with rejected proof ideas... Don't worry I have plenty of shelves and floorspace for piles of unorganized papers.

Now, be sure you know all the rules from now on!!! Friday, 3pm, flight to niagara falls with a pretty girl at my arm. This is the most important thing ... don't forget that!
HeadphoneAddict Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Sounds like a happy ending, for now. Hopefully nobody is gunning for you (no pun intended).
Dreadhead Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 (edited) Crappy, I'm glad it worked out for you and I hope you enjoy Niagra. Make sure to do Maid of the Mist. It is awesome. Today I learned what a PITA tenured/emeritus professors can be. Got told by one at MIT that his rate was $1k/hr and another that he was unwilling to come on board unless he could fly business class to all meetings. WTF. It makes me angry to think that of the taxpayer money they must have wasted up to this point pulling that shit. Also makes me wonder who within the government allowed them to do this. I remember back when I was a prof one of my co-workers would fly first class on all travel and bill it to research, what a waste. Edited February 28, 2012 by Dreadhead
Grahame Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 (edited) ^ You would have thought that MIT would have heard of WebEx/Skype/Google+ . Requiring physical presence is soo last millennium. Won't someone think of the children carbon footprint. Edited February 28, 2012 by Grahame
Dreadhead Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 The business class one is from the West Coast but I agree. I wonder if we can set up at suitably secure WebEx.....
