shellylh Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 Jacob: Sorry to hear about the unengagement, hopefully it doesn't last too long. Sounds like this was a bad one. Also, that sucks about your knee!
Augsburger Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 Wow man, I hope you recover in all aspects. You are a great guy and what is meant to be will be. Ok, I just read what I wrote and granted it is a lame post but you know what I mean. Hang in there buddy!
blessingx Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 Sorry to hear Jacob. Just do what's right and see where it leads.
Fitz Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 The fuck dude? Be ok, OK? This. - - - Worked on my car today and managed to get it working right again, and even running better than it ever has. Ended up needing to replace the spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap & rotor, and the air filter. Thank goodness there weren't any problems with the fuel injectors.
grawk Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 fuel injectors are actually pretty easy to replace, too
Fitz Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 They're a little expensive and I'd have to remove the intake manifold, throttle, buncha hoses, etc to get at them. I don't like taking off more bolts and hoses at once than I can mentally keep track of.
grawk Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 ah, on the suburban I did that on, everything was right there. The advantage to having an engine compartment as big as a manhattan apartment
Fitz Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 Yeah, you can actually see the plugs on them and almost get to them, but they're all mounted on a little subassembly underneath the manifold, so you have to remove the whole set at once to replace any single ones. Most of the normal maintenance stuff in the engine is pretty easy to get to though, unlike my mom's Lumina that looks like the inside of a Singlepower point-to-point amp (you have to remove the washer fluid reservoir, a support bar, a fuse box, and the air intake just to change the battery).
Torpedo Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 (edited) Holy shit, Jacob, that sucks. Take care man, good luck making it up. I'm sure she'll understand and hopefully the knee is just the scar. Ken, it's very possible your ADD is related to the OSAS. You'll see if it improves after using the CPAP for a while. Grahame Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 Jacob, as Winston Churchill was fond of saying, KBO.
swt61 Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 Fitz, between my Carpentry skills and your mechanical savvy, we're really confusing those that base their understanding of homosexuals on stereotypes. That and Shelly not being an unattractive, lower voiced gal, with a flat top haircut. Show a little compassion and talk about shoes now and then.
shellylh Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 That and Shelly not being an unattractive, lower voiced gal, with a flat top haircut. I'll work on it.
Grahame Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 (edited) I'll work on it. You've bought dungaree's + Doc Martin's ? Edited November 3, 2011 by Grahame
bhjazz Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 was just too stupid to realize what was going on before i ran all the way there (just two miles, but that was enough). We all do that. No worries. Good luck, man.

shellylh Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 You've bought dungaree's + Doc Martin's ? Hmm, according to the internet, it seems the only thing I am missing is a flannel shirt.

Dreadhead Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 Spent the day fighting with Python and IronPython trying to take my customers code and actually make it do what it needs to do in a production environment rather than in his little fucking sandbox.... so very frustrating.
shellylh Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 And crossing over from the bags thread, you could accessorize a bit: and a Subaru, if you don't already drive one. Don't you think a truck would be more appropriate in Texas? And crossing over from the bags thread, you could accessorize a bit: Don't you think the colors should be switched? I mean, do you think a butch would want to carry around such a fem yellow bag?
jvlgato Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 Hmm, according to the internet, it seems the only thing I am missing is a flannel shirt. and a Subaru, if you don't already drive one. I own both a flannel shirt and a Subaru. I like cool cars, but am not good with car mechanics, or with carpentry. Does this mean I'm a closeted lesbian in a metro-sexual's body? No wonder it took me so long to get married, considering how sexually confused I am!

morphsci Posted November 3, 2011 Author Report Posted November 3, 2011 Damn I hate Wednesday evenings and Thursday's. Long ecology labs cut deep into interwebz surfing time. Sorry to hear about the troubles Jacob, but it appears to be already on the mend (relationship and knee). Today went out electrofishing with my ecology labs. So now sitting at gymnastics wet and smelling like fish. The other parents really love me.
