Haj, too bad you didn't get pics up at Acadia, but even those don't do it justice IMO....truly a beautiful place with the small sandy beach area, lake (Jordan Pond), mountians, forest, and ocean. My wife and I spent 5 days in that area when my son went to sleep-away camp.... BTW, was the bad restaurant experience @ Jordan Pond, or elsewhere in Bar Harbor area? We had a very good experience - twice - at Jordan Pond.

I'll be up there again soon enough, unless my folks move but I doubt that'll be happening anytime soon. Of course, next time will probably be around Christmas, so I doubt I'll be going up to the park.

The bad restaurant experience was not at Jordan Pond - that place is awesome, though wee bit pricey. It was at a place in town called Route 66 Restaurant. We went there for a quick bite since it didn't seem as crowded as others and the toddler doesn't like waiting. In retrospect, the fact it wasn't as crowded as other places should've made us weary.

Spent the weekend at the new house lake which was very successful in that we got lots of stuff done. At the same time it was unsuccessful in that a lot of other crap did not get done.

The dryer we had delivered turned out to be too big and in need of a propane conversion kit. Lowes took it back for free and we ordered a new smaller electric unit which will mean we now need to get a electric hookup run.

Now I just need to arrange for for other people to do stuff and pay them. I'm tired.

Stayed home to recover from Electric Zoo this past weekend. So many DJ's impressed me, I went in there with such low expectations of them, but they blew me away!

I got up an hour ago to get ready to go to work for the first time in about 3 weeks. I'm really not looking forward to this, as the past few days haven't been that good to me. Let's see how this whole "sitting down for 4-8 hours" thing goes. At least the meds seem to be kicking in, now.

Sounds like a shitty way to spend the holiday.

Sorry. Couldn't help myself.

Its ok, upon my return listened to some music via the Head Direct HE300 dynamic cans and then went to dinner to Texas de Brasil churrasqueria. All in all a good day, oh and I took today off to recuperate from all the VINO I drank.

Best wishes mate, I hope you can stand and go through it like a champion ;D

Went to work yesterday morning. Just did 4 hours, but it was rather uncomfortable and a bit painful. I got home and passed out for a couple hours, got up a bit, and passed out again for an hour or so later. It was a rather miserable day, but hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Had my first day of work last night. Mostly just stupid sales training and orientation, but it felt really nice to know that I'll be making at least a little money to help out. Thanks for the congrats from a few days ago, fellas. Yes, they carry a number of products I didn't think of that I will probably buy once my employee discount kicks in. Really need a vacuum sealer for beer/wine leftovers and some drying mats for glassware. Hell, maybe some glassware to go with those mats while I'm at it.

Colin - looked for and couldn't find the Sous Vide Supreme. Must be in their online "Beyond" store.

Brent - hope day #2 goes better for ya. Just gotta keep on keeping on.

Brent: good luck with Day 2!

Me: Started the process of transitioning to a different credit card because I'm switching from a cash back card to an AA air miles card since I don't see flights getting cheaper anytime soon and the miles are currently worth more than the cash back. It's a PITA becasuse I know my trusty Amex cards number by heart etc. I know nothing to really complain about but it's a PITA.

Yeah, when I bought mine, the sales associate had to order it off their website and have it shipped to me. Fortunately, he said it was out of stock in store, so I got the shipping free+20% coupon. There are a bunch of nice things there which I will be buying soon, so I am glad they sent me about a dozen of those coupons.

I just discovered last week that they will let you use those 20% off coupons in multiple so that you can use 3-4 coupons on 3-4 big ticket items to really load up. I will be there this weekend stocking up my poorly appointed kitchen. Don't even know what I need to buy but I will be buying a lot of it.

Well, I'm literally sitting here with a hot hard-boiled egg on my eye per doctor's direction. Corner of my eye's been pretty tender, nothing much, the past couple weeks. This morning, it just plain hurt. By mid-morning, I felt like the pressure was unbearable and it wouldn't stop watering so went off to the eye doc. He freaking lifted the lid, poked around. I don't seem to have an infection, but we both agree there's something hard, painful, and very there just above my tear duct. I have to wait to see a freaking specialist and can't get an appointment until next week. Due to history, I'm betting on yet another cyst, which is really annoying considering the location and the fact that I want to rip half my face off right now. I can handle pain, but not this eyeball, and now nose bridge pressure. The egg does make it feel a little better, even though I'm quite aware I look insane.

Oh...and to top off my day (warning: I'm in full complaining mode), my Concept 2 didn't arrived as expected. According to tracking, it's been visiting Jacksonville for two days now.

Sorry to hear about your eye/sinus pain Vicki, that must be excruciating. embarrassed.gif I have never heard of the hot hard boiled egg treatment, but I hope it works. If your Doc. recommends leech treatments or ear coning next I would recommend you get a second opinion.

Get well soon.

Pain relief and an instant snack. I've heard of unusual pain remedies, but using a warm hard boiled egg is new to me.

Hope this passes quickly and you get better soon.
