mrarroyo Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 Spent time getting two cars washed, then picked up breakfast for the wife and I. Now relaxing with tunes and posting here. Cheers.
mypasswordis Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Anyone know how to get COM ports to show up in device manager in Windows 7? Maybe I should go back to XP when this shit actually made sense....
crappyjones123 Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 last i checked you had to add them manually.
Absorbine_Sr Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Just got back from seeing the California Guitar Trio with Fareed Haque at the Old Town School of Music. Excellent show and they had bottles of FFF Pride and Joy as well. Tomorrow night is GYBE.
Salt Peanuts Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Got my glasses damaged at work again. Hopefully, my shop can repair them.
morphsci Posted March 28, 2011 Author Report Posted March 28, 2011 Nice setup Mike. The built-in desk really looks good in its new function.
The Monkey Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Just spoke to my mother. I don't get along with that woman.
tyrion Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Emotiva XPA-2 that is way more powerful than I need. The new orientation of the room is a big improvement. I have to order some GIK panels next.
jvlgato Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Bled money at Disney yesterday. It was ok. Kids had fun. Bled money at Legoland today. Really cool place. Both kids liked it more than Disney, and so did both parents. I can't believe what they build with the damn things. Look at these mini cities, Mt Rushmore, and one part of the new Star Wars area opening this Thursday. Some of these reached 20 ft in height or more! This is just the tip of the iceberg:
Dusty Chalk Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 I love Legoland. When I was on vacation in San Diego, I made the pilgrimage. Lou's Records was the other pilgrimage I made.
swt61 Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 How many Lego's do you suppose it'd take to make rotting corpses in the basement?
shellylh Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 My house isn't big enough... but I could make myself a listening room out of Legos...
Wmcmanus Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 come on, people, the plural of lego is lego. I always thought it was legi, but what do I know? Something I thought Steve would be interested in.
Voltron Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 (edited) come on, people, the plural of lego is lego. and respond to my PMs, Steve, or i'll lego-ize you with me lego shovel next meet we're both at. Indeed, and it is a legal matter at that: LEGO Group Profile 2009 Please help us to protect our brand name: • The LEGO brand name should always be written in capital letters • LEGO must never be used as a generic term or in the plural or as a possessive pronoun, e.g. “LEGO’s”. • When the LEGO brand name is used as part of a noun, it must never appear on its own. It should always be accompanied by a noun. For ex ample, LEGO set, LEGO products, LEGO Group, LEGO play materials, LEGO bricks, LEGO universe, etc. • The first time the LEGO brand name appears it must be accompanied by the Registered symbol ®. Thank you for helping us! Edited March 29, 2011 by Voltron
Dusty Chalk Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 So technically, there is no plural, since it's not a noun, but there's only one LEGO® company, and Steve's statement would be more correctly "...how many LEGO bricks...?"
Grahame Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 come on, people, the plural of lego is lego. and respond to my PMs, Steve, or i'll lego-ize you with me lego shovel next meet we're both at. Indeed. Like Sheep. No doubt you have committed this to memory. And if people disagree with you, just call them a bunch of penes!
Salt Peanuts Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 Goddamn English. No doubt you have committed this to memory. And if people disagree with you, just call them a bunch of penes! Surprised it doesn't list datum/data.
swt61 Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 ...and respond to my PMs, Steve, or i'll lego-ize you with me lego shovel next meet we're both at. Not sure if you're talking to me, but if so I have not received any new PMs from you. If you 'are' talking to me, try sending with a new subject, as I deleted several PMs recently, and ran into this problem once before.
swt61 Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 So where does "Lego my Eggo" fit into this legal trademark?
