Shelleyan Orphan - We Have Everything We Need. This quirky art-pop group reunited in mid-2000's for this album, didn't even know it existed until this year. Been listening a lot recently, growing on me quite a bit. Carolyn Crawley's voice is frail and strong all at once....

What an album.

Stevie Nicks is a superstar, no doubt, but give me Chris McVie and her smokey alto voice singing with a minimalist arrangement any day.

Up late tonight. These occupy two very different corners of fusion, and not much loved these days, I know. I remember having these on copy after copy of self-destructo 8-tracks. I loved Wayne Shorter's tenure with Weather Report--he was so brilliant and soulful on the cuts Gibralter, Cannnonball. Playing now: Watermelon Man.
