What could go wrong? Interesting. Nostalgia band for sure. Including some ELO "Xanadu", some Genesis, an R&B song that I know, but could not place. I actually got distracted most of the time with, hey that sounds like <enter song or band>. What is old is new again, time after time...... {good bass player though} Edit: -- I found it, Mornin' by Al Jarreau Edited August 30, 2021 by mikeymad

TMoney Posted August 31, 2021 Report Posted August 31, 2021 (edited) Big Red Machine - How Long Do You Think It's Gonna Last? I had never heard of these guys, but they have a lot of collaborators on this album that I do like, such as Anaïs Mitchell, Sharon Van Etten and Fleet Foxes. Very pleasant listen. Falls short mostly on the various vocal performances. Example: Welcome to the Machine · Todd Rundgren · Rick Wakeman · Tony Levin I wouldn't. And I love Pink Floyd, but it looks like it was recycled from one of those tribute albums from the 90's/2000's. I mean, Edgar Froese is dead. (RIP) They're just trying to milk blood from a stone. (...stone...stone...stone...stone...stone...) Here, listen to this instead, it's actually creative: I especially liked their versions of "Pigs (Three Different Ones)" (kinda made it a trip-hop version) and "Sheep" (won't spoiler it). 1

cutestory Posted September 3, 2021 Report Posted September 3, 2021 Thanks to folks here, https://ultimae.bandcamp.com/album/border-50 I also just posted something rough, long, and experimental. This is just raw output from my modular through a CXM 1978. It could definitely benefit from a real mix, but here it is anyway: https://cutestory.bandcamp.com/track/under 3

Dusty Chalk Posted September 7, 2021 Report Posted September 7, 2021 Al Di Meola Plays Piazzolla Not an example: Just...superblime. I was in love with Al Di Meola playing Piazzolla before the album existed. (Libertango is from a different album, but I must've heard him play it live before this record came out, during the Cielo e Terra/Scenario era, which is when I first saw him play live.) It's hard to stay cranky when one is listening to music this beautiful. 2
