mikeymad Posted June 25, 2020 Report Posted June 25, 2020 listening to "Standin' in the Rain" so much growing up, probably made me eventually move to Washington... two minute and seven second intro for a 4:19 song -- crazy 4
Dusty Chalk Posted June 25, 2020 Report Posted June 25, 2020 I never noticed that, I love vocal songs with ~> 50% instrumental. Great album. I listened to The Jungle quite a bit. “And they danced!...”. Jeff Lynne is a brilliant producer. Me: Hum —first album in over 22 years! Shoegaze heaven. https://humband.bandcamp.com/releases 2
Aura Posted June 26, 2020 Report Posted June 26, 2020 because @Dusty Chalk Hum - You'd Prefer An Astronaut i need to check out the new one soon 2
Dusty Chalk Posted June 26, 2020 Report Posted June 26, 2020 Yeah, it’s good, you definitely need to check it out. That said, it has made me start thinking of revisiting their back catalogue as well. I don’t listen to their material enough.
blessingx Posted June 26, 2020 Report Posted June 26, 2020 I’m I misreading Dylan’s newest? Feels stronger than just a great record. Like a reflective, encompassing, inclusive goodbye (he’ll outlive us all). 1

morphsci Posted June 29, 2020 Report Posted June 29, 2020 (edited) How did I not know about Jonell Mosser or this homage to Townes van Zandt? Followed by Which, IMO, is their best album and has one of the best, if not the best, opening track of any album. Edited June 29, 2020 by morphsci 3
swt61 Posted June 30, 2020 Report Posted June 30, 2020 I'm really wanting some striped bell bottoms. 1 1 1 1

swt61 Posted June 30, 2020 Report Posted June 30, 2020 Life can be difficult growing up with a "hipness" level far exceeding those around you! 🤪 8

The question is, did you have one of these? 2
skullguise Posted June 30, 2020 Report Posted June 30, 2020 Love the jacket-over-shoulder, vested look Steve! I had a pair of pants in the 70's that was in essence a patchwork of....patches of pants of REALLY ugly design. Thank goodness there are no pictures, I remember hating them even as a young kid.... I recall reds, stripes, plaids, etc. STILL working out the issues from wearing those! 😃 1
Dusty Chalk Posted July 1, 2020 Report Posted July 1, 2020 I need this Australian Research & Space Exploration T-shirt
