Dusty Chalk Posted September 1, 2019 Report Posted September 1, 2019 Late Night Union on bandcamp. Hard rock. Only Access to the Sun is an album, but the rest of the songs are great, too. Previously was the sillily named Awooga, but they're even harder rock, and I dig them too. 1
Dusty Chalk Posted September 2, 2019 Report Posted September 2, 2019 Blues based hard rock with female vocals
mikeymad Posted September 2, 2019 Report Posted September 2, 2019 Unpacking and setting up house music. Loaded up and played on Random... good day Today's load up and Random Now - some Sade... 5
Hopstretch Posted September 3, 2019 Report Posted September 3, 2019 Unless all you have is Kansas and Diana Krall -- and who am I to judge -- that's not particularly random. 2 3

acidbasement Posted September 3, 2019 Report Posted September 3, 2019 Outstanding cover of a Stan Rogers classic. 3
TMoney Posted September 5, 2019 Report Posted September 5, 2019 Add me to the growing HC-consensus on this one. One of the best new albums I've listened to in the last few weeks. 5
HiWire Posted September 7, 2019 Report Posted September 7, 2019 Visited the music store... got a few discs I'd been wanting: Black Messiah – D'Angelo and the Vanguard Treasure – Cocteau Twins Beat My Distance – Anemone 3
Dusty Chalk Posted September 8, 2019 Report Posted September 8, 2019 That Cocteau Twins is superb. Me, now, don't mean to be a cliche, but...damnbient: 1
HiWire Posted September 9, 2019 Report Posted September 9, 2019 (edited) Re: the Cocteau Twins – I've owned Milk & Kisses and Heaven or Las Vegas for years, but I've been meaning to check out their earlier albums forever. I'm glad the store that I visited has an eclectic selection. In the House of Strange Affairs – My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult Edited September 11, 2019 by HiWire 2
skullguise Posted September 9, 2019 Report Posted September 9, 2019 Cocteau Twins are always one of my top listens, I "go" to them periodically and run through a lot of their output.... Another fave of mine, a little more mellow and ambient, is Victorialand. Not as cool/freaky/spacey as Treasure, but a good listen when you're in a do-nothing mood or when you need something not TOO distracting while you work. 4
Hopstretch Posted September 10, 2019 Report Posted September 10, 2019 OK, fired up the BHSE for the first time in months and listened to this new Tool album quite loud and my conclusion was I should get back into this headphone shit. 8
jose Posted September 10, 2019 Report Posted September 10, 2019 They probably don't have many followers here but I recognize that I like Morten Harket's vocal record quite a bit at the same time I like listening to his music while I'm doing things. 2
Dusty Chalk Posted September 12, 2019 Report Posted September 12, 2019 Actually, there are several fans here. Dude has range! Haven't heard much, though, myself. I should give them a listen, what with my recently burgeoning interest in The Pop Song. Me, listening to this great, lyrical, melodic, instrumental rock record https://kaleikia.bandcamp.com/album/oile-n-fada-2 They're from Sanxenxo, wherever that is. 1
jose Posted September 12, 2019 Report Posted September 12, 2019 I have added them to my playlist. I'll tell you tonight.
Aura Posted September 12, 2019 Report Posted September 12, 2019 since we're seeing them at riot fest in a couple days... Wu-Tang Clan - Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) 4
jose Posted September 12, 2019 Report Posted September 12, 2019 Sepultura "The Mediator Between Head and Hands Must Be the Heart" 1
Aura Posted September 13, 2019 Report Posted September 13, 2019 Tool - Fear Inoculum decided i wouldn't listen until i had the physical copy in hand. already waited so many years, a number of days wasn't an issue. 5
