blessingx Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 (edited) Nilsson/Newman again. This may end up placing in my top five pop albums. Edited May 22, 2011 by blessingx
MoonShine Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 All the prophecy nonsense of late reminded me of this old gem:
blessingx Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 (edited) A lot of Glenn Gould (thanks Icarium!) filling in the last 26 days of working straight. Just finishing Mozart and Schoenberg Piano Concertos. Now on to Brahms: 10 Intermezzi for Piano. Edited May 22, 2011 by blessingx

Dusty Chalk Posted May 24, 2011 Report Posted May 24, 2011 Stuck on Oh Land. That sequence of Son of a Gun/Voodoo/Lean/Wolf & I/Human just fucking rocks me down to my socks. Oh, and hey, she's released some alternate versions of some of her songs on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/OhlandVEVO#p/u/2/V4wHMORwlHY http://www.youtube.com/user/OhlandVEVO#p/u/4/S-XSxhXghN4 http://www.youtube.com/user/OhlandVEVO#p/u/5/XY50--DkkE4 http://www.youtube.com/user/OhlandVEVO#p/u/3/1a8ckDTW4aU http://www.youtube.com/user/OhlandVEVO#p/u/1/kew62gpNTn0
grawk Posted May 24, 2011 Report Posted May 24, 2011 Toshiko Akiyoshi - Notorious Tourist from the East
Dusty Chalk Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 The Fire Theft, "Carry You", paulstretched
Dusty Chalk Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 Miley Cyrus, "When I Look at You", paulstretched -- still my favorite
Dusty Chalk Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 ...except I have it practically memorized at this point, so trying "Starless" by King Crimson a try -- quite nice. 1:39:06 @ 8.04x (the default). The Mellotron still sounds like a Mellotron, everything else sounds paulstretched. And it does not sound like Frippertronics, at least, not yet.
deepak Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 Jackie Mclean - Destination Out! music matters 45 rpm. what a great album, grachan moncur III rules
