recstar24 Posted March 5, 2017 Report Posted March 5, 2017 Radiohead the bends, and reading lyrics off the record insert I've come to a few conclusions. #1 - I have been mistaken on so many lyrics for like 20 years now lol #2 - this album is mad fucked up yo. 1
mypasswordis Posted March 6, 2017 Report Posted March 6, 2017 Having a bad day so this is up next on repeat
Dusty Chalk Posted March 6, 2017 Report Posted March 6, 2017 Marsheaux, Ath.Lon (pure, unadulterated synthpop)
Dusty Chalk Posted March 6, 2017 Report Posted March 6, 2017 I just opened up my box and the disks were missing, so I'm listening to this on Tidal.
Torpedo Posted March 7, 2017 Report Posted March 7, 2017 Phronesis - Parallax (2016) This album is also available at Bandcamp. I've enjoyed it a lot. 1

Unholy carp, just a minute in, and I'm already in love. Purchasing. Going to pre-order their next album in the 24/96 format, yah? EDIT: Never mind, it's not really "their next album", it's older material worked into the big band format -- so, their Sylva, as it were -- but still, glorious, my thing, definitely getting it... 1

mypasswordis Posted March 8, 2017 Report Posted March 8, 2017 ^ Hate when that happens, or when it's the wrong CD because I was too lazy to put it in the right case the last time.
ironbut Posted March 8, 2017 Report Posted March 8, 2017 This weekend starts the 2017 edition of SXSW. As usual, an unbelievable number of cool stuff. So I'm always thankful for NPR doing their "Austin 100". A bin of 100 mp3's from artists that will perform at the festival. Some of these have horrid SQ but it gives you a heads up before the live streaming begins. http://www.npr.org/2017/03/01/517751061/the-austin-100 2
skullguise Posted March 9, 2017 Report Posted March 9, 2017 Some Hi-Rez yummage: Cowboy Junkies Trinity Sessions (DSD) and Livingston Taylor Safe Home (24-192) Trinity is even moar awesomer than other versions I've heard. Safe Home is excellent sounding, but for the first time - and I've seen and liked Livingston Taylor over many years - I didn't like some of the arrangements/singing. Still great overall, but I miss the "spark" that he brings to live shows. 1
TMoney Posted March 9, 2017 Report Posted March 9, 2017 Wait, what? U2 used to occasionally open for themselves during the Joshua Tree tour under the guise of a fake country band called The Dalton Brothers. I know a lot of people think U2 are arrogant dickheads, but I think this is pretty damn sweet! Source: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/lists/u2s-the-joshua-tree-10-things-you-didnt-know-w470808
jvlgato Posted March 10, 2017 Report Posted March 10, 2017 This, which I saw on the shelf of the musical instruments rental store, while exchanging my daughter's 1/2 size cello for a 3/4 size cello, and I had to have it. 3
swt61 Posted March 10, 2017 Report Posted March 10, 2017 I especially like the name of the production company.
ironbut Posted March 10, 2017 Report Posted March 10, 2017 I've got that one too Jon. I bought it on the recommendation that it's the best produced videos of 'Trane. Since then, I've seen a ton of them and this is far and away the best. Enjoy! 2
ironbut Posted March 10, 2017 Report Posted March 10, 2017 This video performance was in a class module on media copyright law. 2
