robm321 Posted March 19 Report Posted March 19 I don't listen to enough Schubert. Lupu playing his Impromptus is about as good as it gets. 3 1 Quote
Torpedo Posted Saturday at 06:58 PM Report Posted Saturday at 06:58 PM Emily Remler - Cookin' at the Queens Live in Las Vegas 1984 and 1988 Sound quality is just meh, probably that's why they took so long to publish this (2024), but her performance and the band's is stellar if you like straight ahead jazz based on the legacy of bebop. In this one she doesn't sound as much as Wes Montgomery as on other earlier albums. 2 Quote
Dusty Chalk Posted Sunday at 07:21 AM Report Posted Sunday at 07:21 AM I listened to Rush 50 today, going back to Pete Namlook (ambient) in a minute. Took a detour first to listen to Bobby Rush's Rush Hour -- good ol' funk, very easy to listen to. Quote

mikeymad Posted 3 minutes ago Report Posted 3 minutes ago Short n' Sweet by Sabrina Carpenter (2024) https://album.link/kqfvtrmgqbmhp Example: Seeing what the kids are up to these days.. Overall it is good. It follows a lot of the Swift formula. A few cutting lines, about a very specific person, with a very singable chorus. A huge pile of writers and producers went into this one. I did appreciate this lyric from Coincidence - "Your car drove itself from LA to her thighs" I also enjoyed the appearance of Dolly Parton on the Deluxe release - (Example) Quote
