I hate those vocals. Thank you for that. Frost* provided an instrumental version in the deluxe edition of their latest album, Day & Age. Kinda proggy, highly recommended. 1 Quote

Hopstretch Posted October 15, 2021 Report Posted October 15, 2021 (edited) I remember wearing out their first album on cassette 30 years ago. It was very bright and bouncy. This one is more informed with the melancholy of middle (and beyond) age. But there's still a lot to admire. How it started: How it's going: Edited October 15, 2021 by Hopstretch 5 Quote

mikeymad Posted October 17, 2021 Report Posted October 17, 2021 Let It Be (2021 Mix) The Beatles 1970 I am not sure it is just my tidal stream, But I feel that I loose all sense of the studio in the mix. People (hoffman forum) talk about the 5.1 mix, but I have no interest. Oh well, good album regardless. And with the deluxe you get the Glyn Johns mix which is very studio. have some youtube sound for fun: 4 Quote
dsavitsk Posted October 17, 2021 Report Posted October 17, 2021 Still my favorite mix. Example: 4 Quote

Dusty Chalk Posted October 18, 2021 Report Posted October 18, 2021 Planet P Project, Pink World -- easily the most under-rated of all double-record concept albums. Very dated production, but the riffs rock. "Everywhere you look you can see his face." "It's a little like Santa Claus faded to pink." "We've got the cutest little cameras hanging everywhere oh yeah...after a while you just forget they're there oh yeah..." Quote
