TMoney Posted October 8, 2019 Report Posted October 8, 2019 Twin Peaks is where I found out about them as well. Almost every band that performed on that show has been fun to listen to. 1
Voltron Posted October 9, 2019 Author Report Posted October 9, 2019 Listened to more Ginger Baker jazz (Coward of the County and Why?) and Cream(all) today. 3

I just downloaded the Fela Kuti live album with Ginger Baker, hope to listen soon.....too many social things planned by the wife, it's tough trying to be a reclusive social hermit! ? 2
jose Posted October 14, 2019 Report Posted October 14, 2019 If I remember correctly, at the time I paid about € 50 for it... 4
Dusty Chalk Posted October 15, 2019 Report Posted October 15, 2019 "Whoopie Cat breaks barriers of musical nuances by molding together the characteristics of progressive rock and heavy blues; married with heart wrenching vocals. They infuse soulful lyrics with rich melodious vocal harmonies to create a warm and melancholic atmosphere that will captivate and consume the listener." Exemplified in this one, beautiful song. It's got kind of a gospel-ly bent to it. https://whoopiecat.bandcamp.com/track/tell-me-youll-stay 1

jose Posted October 18, 2019 Report Posted October 18, 2019 Yes, I also think that Marr is a genius even though his head goes too far. Morrisey is also … but he goes as a "divo" and I don´t like much. Anyway, I stay with The Cure. Robert Smith has known how to adapt to the times and different styles, let's say he has evolved. 1
jose Posted October 18, 2019 Report Posted October 18, 2019 If you liked Delvon Lamarr trio ... his guitarist and his drums have a parallel project. The True Lovers " Famous last Words" 4

blessingx Posted October 19, 2019 Report Posted October 19, 2019 (edited) Different Saturday morning vibe, but for a poppy, productive start... Edited October 19, 2019 by blessingx 2
Hopstretch Posted October 20, 2019 Report Posted October 20, 2019 ^^^ Love that. Speaking of (power) poppy guilty pleasures, I commend this. 2
