Dusty Chalk Posted September 22, 2019 Report Posted September 22, 2019 "Church" -- I find doom relaxing. Heavy and patient, like an avalanche. Poseidon, Prologue Quote

jose Posted September 28, 2019 Report Posted September 28, 2019 Pierre Fournier, Bach Cello Suites. It is not my favorite recordings but you can enjoy it. Quote
Dusty Chalk Posted September 29, 2019 Report Posted September 29, 2019 Been listening to some very melodic instrumental post-rock albums from this very strong space-rock ensemble: https://monomyththeband.bandcamp.com/ Quote

TMoney Posted October 1, 2019 Report Posted October 1, 2019 Maybe I'm just projecting with the benefit of knowing what lied ahead for the band, but listening to these extras the guys just sound creatively and emotionally spent compared to the energy in the extras for the Super Deluxe edition of the White album a few years back. Interesting nevertheless. 2 Quote
jose Posted October 2, 2019 Report Posted October 2, 2019 "In the white room with black curtains near the station …" Oh guys. I love that fucking song. The drums of Baker, the SG with Wah of Clapton, the bass of Bruce and that crazy letter. 3 Quote
skullguise Posted October 4, 2019 Report Posted October 4, 2019 Actually enjoyed this a bit! Thought it would be way over-the-top a la William Shatner, but it was kind of regular music. The difference was I really liked the song selection, some great New Wave from the 80's - Echo & The Bunnymen, Lords Of The New Church, Jesus & Mary Chain - as well as other hits from 70's onward. Nothing really special, but just enjoyed hearing the songs..... 1 Quote

Dusty Chalk Posted October 4, 2019 Report Posted October 4, 2019 I've been listening to a lot of Stone Rebel the last couple of days (definitely a step down in Grrrr! from Poseidon (reminder). This is my favourite one yet: Apocalypse Quote
