Torpedo Posted March 28, 2018 Report Posted March 28, 2018 casually I've been listening to Brad Mehldau's recent release of "After Bach" 3
jose Posted March 28, 2018 Report Posted March 28, 2018 Joe Hisaishi meets Kitano films... small delight
recstar24 Posted March 28, 2018 Report Posted March 28, 2018 Dungen - ta det lugnt 2016 vinyl repress. All analog pressing! Sounds killer. Bought the CD when it first came out and while the music was great the sound was pretty compressed (vinyl was cut from CD master). This repress is super punchy and dynamic without being harsh. 1
ironbut Posted April 1, 2018 Report Posted April 1, 2018 yup,.. That's my favorite Chaconne! Have it on the Odyssey vinyl (mono).
mikeymad Posted April 2, 2018 Report Posted April 2, 2018 Giving this sacd a spin with the L3000 leatherheads, yup good.. 4

Dusty Chalk Posted April 6, 2018 Report Posted April 6, 2018 https://haujobb.bandcamp.com/album/alive Industrial -- unless the genre still interests you, stay away 2
skullguise Posted April 6, 2018 Report Posted April 6, 2018 Hmmm, lost all track of her since she was in Helium back in the day....need to research and listen..... For some reason, I had it in my head that she worked with 10,000 Maniacs for a tiny bit after Natalie Merchant left, but I don't see any reference to that (not that I looked hard).
Dusty Chalk Posted April 6, 2018 Report Posted April 6, 2018 https://daydreamingwinter.bandcamp.com/album/ethereality Shoegaze (Lush-ish) -- unless you're still interested in the genre, stay away. They even have those slow guitar chord bends. 1
Dusty Chalk Posted April 7, 2018 Report Posted April 7, 2018 https://themessthetics.bandcamp.com Rhythm Section of Fugazi + Anthony Pirog (experimental/jazz guitarist) Works for me
Dusty Chalk Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 King Crimson, Live in Vienna will probably play Live in Chicago next
Voltron Posted April 9, 2018 Author Report Posted April 9, 2018 I acquired 10 boxes of my friends' record collection that I helped amass and listened to daily during high school. Picked a 12" Echo and the Bunnymen for sentimental value and then something else I haven't heard in years. Fun stuff. 7 1
HiWire Posted April 9, 2018 Report Posted April 9, 2018 Did you know this album starts with Monday Morning? 2

Kattefjaes Posted April 10, 2018 Report Posted April 10, 2018 (edited) @Dusty Chalk - haujobb gave me some great F242 flashbacks. Industrial/EBM is a bit of a personal weakness. Edited April 10, 2018 by Kattefjaes 2
Dusty Chalk Posted April 10, 2018 Report Posted April 10, 2018 I love Haujobb in particular because they evolved their sound all along. Skinny Puppy (of course) and Project Pitchfork are a couple others. :wumpscut:’s Loyal to my Hate was my ringtone for the longest time.
