mypasswordis Posted September 13, 2017 Report Posted September 13, 2017 Happy birthday to Schoenberg 2
Dusty Chalk Posted September 13, 2017 Report Posted September 13, 2017 I discovered this nice varietous sampler of old psychedelic and the like music called, The Last Daze of the Underground There's a lot of really great songs on here, interspersed with some weird shit. On top of that, at least one of the acts, Kava Kava, is still active, and I'm loving their newer stuff as well as the older songs:

Dusty Chalk Posted September 15, 2017 Report Posted September 15, 2017 Voivod Binge to celebrate their recent "Visionary" award at the Progressive Music Awards, specifically the 2nd through 7th albums: Rrröööaaarrr Killing Technology Dimension Hatröss Nothingface Angel Rat The Outer Limits Yeah, there's no way I'm listening to all of that tonight...but I'll keep it loaded in Tidal for as long as I can...
recstar24 Posted September 15, 2017 Report Posted September 15, 2017 Arcade fire everything now. Very new wave ish and at points even sounds like ABBA but I hate myself for somewhat enjoying it.
Dusty Chalk Posted September 15, 2017 Report Posted September 15, 2017 I love that album. The production!

I gave it a try, but like most of the newer Foo albums it wasn't for me. There is a strong possibly that I have shitty tastes, but the ears want what they want.
Hopstretch Posted September 16, 2017 Report Posted September 16, 2017 Couple of decent songs. Overall it didn't make much of an impression.
Hopstretch Posted September 16, 2017 Report Posted September 16, 2017 Deer Tick -- Vol. 2 This I like. 1

HiWire Posted September 18, 2017 Report Posted September 18, 2017 Marvin Gaye – Let's Get It On (I tried to find Mobile Fidelity's version of What's Going On but it's out of print and going for relatively high prices. The Japanese SHM-SACD is also out of print and barely available but it is SACD-only rather than a hybrid disc like the Mo-Fi) 1
mikeymad Posted September 20, 2017 Report Posted September 20, 2017 Michael in the Morning - still marvel at the engineering of tracks like this 2
TMoney Posted September 22, 2017 Report Posted September 22, 2017 Honestly I could probably just listen to "Althea" all day on repeat and be perfectly happy. 1
