A bunch of Surya Kris Peters -- member of Samsara Blues Experiment (stoner) doing pastoral krautrock.

Also:  a bunch of Samsara Blues Experiment and Sasquatch.

I don't know why I love stoner so much, considering I've never partaken (on purpose anyway).

But I do.

Vince Staples  - Big Fish Theory

digging a lot more than expected

^ I don't normally listen to this kind of stuff but this album is pretty great!

What label is that one on, and how's the mastering?

Some reissue, they just took all the stuff the two collaborated on from '58/'59 and put it into an album. It sounds really good but if you're expecting a lot of Bill Evans you'll be disappointed, and the piano is a bit buried in the mix in general.

Blind Faith. Only one 1969 album with a massively controversial cover. Clapton, Steve Winwood, Ginger Baker and Ric Grech. What a stunning virtuoso album with the best of the best.

My favourites so far are Electric Octopus and My Secret Karma -- both instrumental, but I prefer to think of it as "distilled".  Cask Strength Stoner, if you will.

Also, Hazy Sea -- this shit is fabulous.  link

Also, Elder (which is not instrumental, but might be the most progressive of the stoner albums I've been listening to lately) .  link

I can't. Stop. Listening. to Stoner.
