Funny – I just put Supernature in the CD player and now I must buy Silver Eye.

A glass of Knappogue Castle doesn't hurt the experience, either.

Been a big Aimee Mann fan since the 'Til Tuesday days.

Me too.  And before that, she used to work at a local pre-hipster record store called Newbury Comics.  I remember her from those days in Boston.....

Newbury Comics!

I still listen to 'Til Tuesday.

The new album is quite ... specific. Good (of course) but just really focused on telling a certain story in a certain mode.

^The new Pallbearer is fucking fantastic. Listened earlier.

Now - Antoine Dufour - Back and Forth. Love this guy, favorite acoustic player save Michael Hedges. Seeing him and Andy Mckee play together was a real live concert highlight for me.

Edit - listen to the electronic versions on disc 2 as well... this is just great.

Newbury Comics -- I was there, many an age ago, but...pretty sure that was after 'Til Tuesday, so...no Aimee Mann...

Yeah, I really dig the new Pallbearer, too.

Will have to give Antoine Dufour a listen.  My favourite acoustical player is Tommy Emmanuel.  And I saw Michael Hedges once, live.

Been listening to her back catalog in addition to her new album.

This is actually pretty strong as far as live albums go, IMO. Smart, hip, and chill.

Such a great album, I played it backwards and forwards.  (No, seriously, I resequenced the CD in reverse order, and burned it that way to play in my car.)  Not a duff track on it.  Right up there with Garbage's first album.  I think I'll have to pull it out tonight.

apparently its been 20 years! Pitchfork released a limited edition zine with custom artwork and some reflections and they were passing them out at a record store I stopped by in the city.

I miss the days when they were art school weirdos.

It's every other album.  This is a pop album, the next one (and previous one, if you missed it) will be (was) an art album.
