skullguise Posted January 19, 2016 Report Posted January 19, 2016 Came across this in my list, copied and brought to work. Remember the days....good times....good times.....
aardvark baguette Posted January 19, 2016 Report Posted January 19, 2016 I feel like a twelve year old posting all this stuff, but whatever.
Hopstretch Posted January 19, 2016 Report Posted January 19, 2016 Try and listen to "Ant Rap" three times in a row, I dare you! 1

Dusty Chalk Posted January 21, 2016 Report Posted January 21, 2016 4.5 I have a question to the foobar2000 users -- is there a best way that one can group recordings? For example, I have several recordings from the Cryo Chamber label, and I'm usually in the mood to listen to them as a group or everything else. Well, except 36 (not a Cryo Chamber artist) fits well with that. Ditto Fax, except that's a different grouping. I also have a bunch of Paulstretched recordings. Again, I'm either in the mood for all Paulstretched recordings, or I'm not. I mean, the obvious way is playlists -- yes? Every time I get a new Cryo Chamber or Fax album, just add it to the appropriate playlist, neh? But I was thinking it'd be great if it was in the album list in groups. Can I create off-grid genres, and then sort by genre? I'll try it.
ironbut Posted January 22, 2016 Report Posted January 22, 2016 (edited) Am I the last one on earth to see this? Jaco, Metheny, Don Alias, Michael Brecker Edited January 22, 2016 by ironbut
Dusty Chalk Posted January 22, 2016 Report Posted January 22, 2016 Only if you haven't watched it yet. (Thanks.)
aardvark baguette Posted January 22, 2016 Report Posted January 22, 2016 Gorguts - Obscura one of the stranger metal albums, i'd say. like a slightly slower, more dissonant Atheist.
Aura Posted January 22, 2016 Report Posted January 22, 2016 Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik One of those albums you don't listen to for years, then on revisit you're re-addicted. 4
skullguise Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 It just happened to be a "related" video to something I watched, and I watched a pretty cool duet with Pink and Linda Perry doing "What's Up" Then I proceeded to watch over a dozen covers of people worldwide doing that (lots of XXX Has Talent type shows), and then about 5 or 6 versions of people singing "Me And Bobby McGee" by Janis Joplin. FWIW, Pink does both those songs REAL well!
Dusty Chalk Posted January 27, 2016 Report Posted January 27, 2016 Meddle? Me: iamthemorning - From the House of Arts live -- fantastic, caught the stream of this, but her Russian between song banter was too fast for me, wish I could slow her down or keep up, myself.
Hopstretch Posted January 27, 2016 Report Posted January 27, 2016 So I guess now that Bowie has passed on, Iggy figures we need someone to channel him? Anyway, I like it.

Anyway, I like it. My sister (a huge Bowie fan) actually posted "It's up to you now, Iggy", meaning the closest thing we have to a replacement.
Dusty Chalk Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 Steven Wilson live at Wiltern Theater, LA, 13-06-2015 -- so far this seems to be a verbatim performance to the one I saw last year, including the between-song banter. 1
aardvark baguette Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 this band is all over the place. every album is different. 1
shellylh Posted February 2, 2016 Report Posted February 2, 2016 Giant Kitty - This Stupid Stuff (my grad student's band's new album - it's pretty fun if you like female fronted post punk/rock music and I approve of anyone doing a Man Size cover)
